I lost the fragment of control I had left when Dylan touched Thea. Oliver managed to prevent me doing something I would have regretted. Well Artemis wouldn’t have regretted it but that didn’t matter. I still hadn’t calmed down when Jackson got Dylan to leave and rounded on me.
“I didn’t know, I haven’t seen her. And … and .” I took a deep breath to continue. “I can’t have her.” Pacing, I couldn’t stand still the urge to claim her was growing stronger the longer I was in her presence.
“What do you mean you can’t have her, you are her f***** mate.” It was Iris who roared at me. I didn’t want to shout at Iris so I forced myself to calm down. “I can’t take her to Ellipse, it’s too dangerous.”
