I didn’t know how long we had before the council arrived. I knew Iris had planned to leave but I saw Oliver on the phone with his Dad so I had a funny feeling they would haste over here.
Jackson sat at his desk staring into space. I had been away from Thea for too long while she was as so weak so I needed to be with her.
Pulling Ashton out the room with me.
“Can you keep an eye on him until Oliver is back…this is a lot to process.”
I didn’t think he would do anything silly but could I honestly trust him just now? It wasn’t worth the chance. If we weren’t careful he could lose his pack.
Thea stirred as I entered her room, her eyelids fluttering open sleekly.
“Mmmm. Did I sleep long ?” She asked groggily.
Hopping onto the bed beside her I planted a kiss on her forehead.
