My fingers wrapped around the pen, but I couldn't bring myself to lower it to the paper. My heart pounded so violently that it almost hurt, while panic crept through every part of me.
If I told Alpha Dimitri the truth, everything would fall apart.
I couldn't tell him I was pregnant. I couldn't tell him who I really was. One wrong sentence and everything would unravel. Lucan. My baby. The life I had built as Scarlett Bane. Every secret I had fought to protect would come crashing down.
