Raven/ Scarlett’s POV
“Wake up, Scarlett.”
Alpha Dimitri’s voice pulled me from sleep almost instantly. My eyes flew open, my heart slamming against my ribs as I sat upright in alarm. The SUV. The road. The long drive. Everything came rushing back in a dizzying wave.
I jolted upright in the passenger seat, blinking rapidly as the apology left my mouth before I could stop it. “I’m sorry, Alpha—I didn’t mean to fall asleep. I—”
He ignored my apology completely.
“Step out of the car.” His tone left no room for questions.
I fumbled with my seatbelt before pushing the door open and stepping out into the cool evening air. My legs felt unsteady after hours in the car, and the sudden shift from sleep left me momentarily disoriented.
