Chapter Two

710 Words
Tylahs POV After breakfast I grabbed my coat and bag and headed off to school, it was a chilly morning with the first frost of winter, I walked with hurried steps so I could get to school early enough to get into the library and go over my herbs and their healing properties notes for my first class of the day. The school grounds were extremely quiet even more than you'd expect them to be at 7am,my ears perked up on high alert listening for anything that could be out of place, trees bristling in the cool winter breeze and the scuffling of my own footsteps on the ground as I'm walking to my destination. I'm almost at the library when I suddenly stop, sniffing the air to make sure I'm alone, being a wolf I have heightened senses although they won't be fully functional until my birthday. I stop dead in my tracks as a cool feeling washes over me my arms start to prickle with the hair on my harms sticking up, and a deep pit forming in my stomach, I know I'm being watched. I look over my shoulders first the left then the right keeping my ears focused on my surroundings trying to catch the direction of the watcher. I see nothing, I hurry into the library through their large oak doors and take a seat in the furthest seat away from the main door, take a breathe and then pull out my work. I'm about 15 minutes into reading through my notes when I get a Wiff of cologne, a very earthy cologne to which i lightly raise my head, in front of me is some very thick, long toned legs, muscles so big you'd think they're about to tear through the fine material of his dark blue dress pants. Daxton. so many thoughts are going through my head as i slightly bow out of respect for our future alpha trying not to make eye contact with his very beautiful deep forest green eyes, Did he forgive Becca and get mad when he heard I bumped into her? or maybe I'm seated in the seat he wants to sit in, or maybe he is going to torment me about my size and my attempt of the weekends strength training. "you're here a little early don't you think little wolf?" Daxton's deep grunt of a voice spoke from next to me whilst ruffling his already messy brown hair, I was so nervous, no one willingly starts talking to me like this, especially the alpha heir, I try to calm my slightly raised breathing, and settle the butterflies he's currently causing deep in my belly. "just keeping up with my school work alpha" i managed to reply in almost a whisper, what surprised me even more was that he started to reply. "be careful being out alone this early, we've had some unknown wolves sniffing round the territory so be alert" he said that last part with a rather unnerving smirk then he turned on his heel and took off through the large oak doors out of the library and away from me. I sat for the next few minutes trying to get my head together, first off, I've never seen Daxton step foot in the library so that was strange in its self, he is just too "cool" to be seen anywhere near here, from what I know him and the future beta and gamma, his best friends, chill out near the carpark, I mean maybe he was running patrol and seen me so decided to check in, I don't know, I had just put it to the back of my mind when the bell went off signaling me that my fist class is about to begin. walking to class didn't take me long, maybe 5 minutes, trying to walk in the mass of people without been stood on though was a different story, the average wolf in this school is anywhere from '5'5 to almost 7ft and little ole me is at 5ft exactly, I was having to dodge being banged into constantly, once I did get to class, I shuffled to my spot in the back corner and waited for the teacher to arrive.
