Chapter 12

It was close of work and staff were already leaving the company.

Camila closed her system and stood fixing her things in her bag.

She looked up to see Sandro wearing his suit and arranging his buttons.

She picked her bag and walked towards him.

"I'll leave now" Camila said and he nodded.

He picked his phone and walked towards the door while she walked behind him.

They both went out and walked towards the Elevator, Some staff saw them and bowed to Sandro.

Soon they were out of the building and Sandro's driver rode the car before them.

"See you by 8, Camila" Sandro said and she nodded.

Sandro opened the back door and slid into the Car, she watched as the car rode off and she sighed and stared at the growing dark streets.

Soon a car pulled up in front of her and the window was wound down,

"hop in" she heard Jade's voice and she frowned.

"Jade?" She called and he showed his face.

She sighed, shaking her head before opening the front door and went in, she shut the door and fixed her seatbelt.

"Hey" Jade called with a smile and the memories of the other night made her feel guilty.

"Ho . . how did you know I work here?" she asked calmly as he started the car driving into the road.

"Franca told me" Jade said and she nodded.

"Ooh" she muttered and took her hair behind her ears.

"I am heart broken right now, you got a job and I didn't even know about it" Jade muttered and she pressed her lips together.

"It's not like that, I planned on telling you when I got back home" Camila said and he nodded with a sigh.

"Camila, working with Sandro Alejandro is a wrong decision" Jade said slowly with a thick voice and she frowned and turned to him.

"What? What do you mean?" She questioned and he turned to her.

"Never mind, you'll know soon, but you can't work with him, you have to stop"

"Jade, you can't tell me what to do or what not to do with my life" she replied hotly and he stopped the car at the traffic light which was red and he turned to her.

"Camila, I care about you, no I love you so much, I can't stand it Camila" he said and she swallowed.

"Jade, please,"

" reconsider working with him, for your sake and for Lily's sake, no for everyone's sake" Jade said and she sighed.

"I don't have a reason not to work for him, and I work with no personal feelings attached, so don't tell me what to do or what not to do" Camila said and He sighed and started The car again.

"So, did you think about what I told you?" He asked his hold on the wheels tightening.

"Jade I am not ready, I am not ready to be with any man" Camila sadly and his jaw ticked in the darkness.

"Then let us start seeing each other, maybe it might work out, please"

"Jade . . ." she called and closed her eyes.

"I don't want to give you hope , hope you understand" she whispered.

"that is what I need, the hope, So from now on, you are my girlfriend and I am your boyfriend" Jade said and she bit her lower lip.

"He Is really adamant" she muttered looking out of the window.

Jade stared at her and grinned,

"I'll treat you well Camila, I promise"

"Don't, please" Camila cut him off and he chuckled.

The remaining ride to the restaurant was silent.

Camila came out of the car and Jade also joined her as she held her bag tightly staring at him.

"See you tomorrow , Babe" Jade said and she sighed.

"Jade . . ." She called but he had already gotten into the car and she pressed her palm on her forehead.

"Seriously?" She muttered as she watched as the car rode off.

She sighed and turned on her phone.

it was 6:30, she still has time to spend with Lily before she goes to prepare.

She walked into the restaurant, there were few customers.

"Mom I'm back" Camila said to Kaila who was serving a customer, she walked towards her with a smile.

"you got the job , congrats baby" Kaila said and Camila smiled.

"Yea I did, thanks to Franca, my Boss is really a handful, but I'm fine though" she shrugged and Kaila sighed.

"I'm happy for you Camila, you got to work in an office as you have always wished for" Kaila said and Camila smiled.

"I'll be really busy taking care of Lily now mom, I need your help huh" Camila begged and Kaila dropped the tray holding her fingers.

"As long you are fine, taking Care of my grandchild will never and shall never be a burden to me" Kaila said and Camila hugged her immediately.

"Thanks mom" Camila said and then suddenly frowned.

"Where is Lily?" She asked breaking the hug and Kaila smiled.

"Franca took her out as usual " Kaila said and Camila rubbed her forehead.

"She acts as if I birthed Lily for her" She sighed.

"I heard you" They heard Franca's voice from the entrance and Kaila shook her head going to the counter while Camila scoffed seeing Franca and Lily walking in with shopping bags.

"Mommy!" Lily called rushing to Camila with some of the bags and Camila dropped her bag and hugged her.

"My baby, you must have missed mommy so much" Camila said and Lily nodded with a smile.

Camila led her to the inner room and Franca followed with the bags including Camila's own.

"She was in a bad mood when I picked her up" Franca said sitting on the cushion.

"Lily what happened?" Camila asked worriedly , sitting with her.

"Blaire called me fatherless, and she also . . ." Lily broke off when she saw Camila's face, the last thing she would tell her mom was that someone called her a prostitute.

"That was all" Lily said and Franca and Camila stared at each other, Camila's eyes was watering slowly.

"Lily sweetheart, keep doing what you have always done, ignore her and everyone else, okay?" Camila said calmly and Lily nodded biting her lower lip, she can't tell Camila she spoke to papa.

Camila stood and walked to a corner in the room, Franca joined her and stared at Camila's face.

"What are you going to do if she keeps demanding about her dad?" Franca asked staring at Lily who was busy on her tablet.

"Nothing, I don't even know the bastard so what am I to do?" Camila questioned and Franca sighed and ran her fingers into her hair.

"Gosh, well, how is your Boss, is he hot just like in TV? Is he that Handsome?" Franca asked changing the subject and Camila's mind crossed to Sandro, his arrogant looks, smile and smirk.

"Well yea, he is a bit troublesome, but there Is something I find really strange about him, he looks familiar in some ways" Camila said and Franca shrugged.

"I won't be surprised if you have seen him before" Franca said and Camila breathed out.

"Franca, what am I going to do, Jade asked me out, in fact he is calling me his girlfriend already" Camila said and Franca gasped.

"Wow, good for you then, what are you waiting for, accept him, he is a good man anyways" Franca said and Camila picked her bag.

"I'll think about it, I need to leave now, Ritego and Sandro are having a get together party and also a home warming party for Sandro, I need to go" Camila said and Franca frowned.

"Are you comfortable by this time?"

"I have no choice, it is part of my job anyways" Camila said and went to Lily.

"Sweetheart, mommy has to go out okay, I promise to sleep in your room when am back" Camila said rubbing her hair.

"OK Mommy" Lily said and Camila nodded and kissed her forehead before walking out of the room.

She went to the restaurant counter and Kaila looked up.

"Mom, I have to go, I might be back late" Camila said

"OK, I'll tuck Lily to sleep then" Kaila said.

"Thanks Mom, bye" Camila said and rushed out of the restaurant.

She stopped a Taxi and got in immediately.

Cassiano walked into the Pent entrance as he walked towards the Elevator, he was on the 3rd floor, he was on a Video call with Lily and Franca.

"You mean your Mommy got the job?" Cassiano asked and Lily nodded.

He saw someone going into the elevator and he rushed to the closing elevator.

"Hey wait!" He yelled and it opened again, he rushed in almost falling on something and he breathed heavily moving,

"Uncle, are you okay?" Lily asked and he sighed turning to see the person in the elevator with him.

"Professor?" Cassiano called and stared back at the screen.

"I will call you guys later" with that he ended the call and stared at Chloe who tried not to look at him.

"Are you just coming in?" He asked and noticed she was in a simple baggy shirt outfit and she had a package with her.

"It is none of your business" Chloe said and Cassiano moved uncomfortably scratching his ears.

"Well I went to get dinner, why don't you join me, I am your student after all" Cassiano said , he doesn't know what was wrong with him, if he had really fallen for her at first sight, then he was doomed.

He was in no way her in category or class, their age difference was there, and she is the daughter of a rich Tycoon, he knew there are many rich men out there going after her.

"Cassiano, you should know the line between a lecturer and her student" Chloe said as the elevator door opened.

She eyed him and walked out and Cassiano sighed and rushed after her.

"Professor I know the line, that is why sharing dinner is not an abomination, right?" Cassiano called after her and Chloe shut her eyes tightly.

"Damn him" she muttered when she got to his door and she pressed her pass code, her door opened, before she could go in, Cassano grabbed her wrist and she turned to him with a gasp.

"Cassiano!" She called loudly and he swallowed letting go of her.

"I'm sorry if I pushed it too far" Cassiano said quietly and she breathed out and went in shutting the door in his face.

He sighed ran his fingers into his hair, damn him!.

Camila sighed as she stared at the clothes on the bed, she was confused as of what to wear,

"I don't have to take this serious" she muttered and grabbed a milky coloured dress which fits with the color of her skin, she carried it up to her body and stared at it.

It was a short strap handed gown, it stopped just above her knees, she wore it and grabbed a Black heels, she was glad Franca wasn't here, she would have been forced into something else.

Soon she was done and applied a red lipstick to her lips, she did her eye mascara and brushed her hair.

She grabbed her purse and phone and walked out of her room, she went out of the house and surprisingly saw a black car outside, raising her brows, she looked around.

Soon a man in black suit walked out of it and bowed slightly.

"Mr Sandro asked me to pick you up" he said and she nodded.

He opened the back seat for her and she got In, he shut the door and went to the driver's seat before starting the car, she sighed as she rubbed her palms slowly.

she was nervous but she didn't know why. At the same time she was scared, going out late at night had put her into a terrible situation in the past, she hoped this will be different.

Of course it will be, she knew Sandro or his friends will never be the type to take advantage of women like that Jerk and bastard who had ruined her life had.
