Alana’s POV He doesn’t know? How is this even possible? Jannie is his girlfriend, yet he doesn’t know about Dan? “You don’t know?” I asked, confused. “Alana, stop lying,” he said firmly. “Why would I lie?” “Dan lives in America, not in London,” he replied. “Yes, I know. And I was supposed to live there as well after the wedding,” I told him. “Alana, you are still lying.” I sighed in frustration. “Why do you think I’m lying? Tell me one specific reason.” “Because he is married.” I froze. My body stiffened. “What?” My voice trembled. “Yes, he is married. And he has two kids.” I was beyond shocked. My knees gave way, and I nearly fell, but he caught my hand and pulled me towards himself. I quickly freed my hand and sat down on the bed, completely shattered. “This can’t be true…” I kept repeating, my words nothing but broken blabber. “This is the truth. If you don’t believe me, wait!” He pulled out his phone and showed me a photo. My whole world collapsed. Dan… with a bride. “Five years! f*****g five years I gave him! And all this while, he was lying to me? Betraying me? How could he?” My voice cracked as tears welled up. Chris exhaled deeply. “What’s done is done. You should be glad you got to know the truth.” I looked at him through blurry eyes. “I want to go from here. I can’t live here.” I got up, but he grabbed my hand, stopping me. “You can’t,” he said flatly. “Why can’t I? There is nothing left for me here, and I don’t want to do the same with Jannie.” His brows furrowed. “Where the f**k did Jannie come from? Listen, you can’t go away from here. You’re still my wife.” “Chris, are you serious? There is nothing between us like husband and wife! I’m telling you I want a divorce. And you should be happy—you already have someone in your life!” I tried reasoning with him, but he only tightened his jaw before finally releasing my hand. My mind was going crazy. I was in a relationship with a married man! I was f*****g in a relationship with someone else’s husband. How could I have been so dumb? How could I believe he loved me? Why was he with me? He didn’t want my body—because when he came to London and proposed, he had the chance, and I wouldn’t have stopped him. But he never touched me. Then why? Why was he with me? This madness was driving me insane. “Still, you can’t leave,” Chris’s stubborn voice pulled me back. “Why do you want me to stay, huh? Why the f**k?” I snapped, my anger spilling over. “Don’t raise your voice in front of me.” His tone was sharp. “Or else? What will you do?” I challenged. “Look, I’m not in the mood to argue, so please, just cut the crap,” he warned. “I am cutting the crap! That’s why I’m leaving!” I pushed him away and stormed toward the door. But within seconds, I was caught again—this time, he pushed me against the wall, caging me in. “Can’t you understand at once?” His face was inches from mine, his anger burning. “No, I can! But at this moment, I don’t understand you! You f*****g have a girlfriend! Last night you yourself said you never wanted this to happen, that there will be nothing between us—then why do you want me to stay?” “Because I promised my parents, and your family too, that I would take care of you. And I can’t let you go alone in this unknown country.” “Chris, you don’t have to worry about me—” “I’m not worried about you. I’m worried about my promise. I never break them. So yeah, just shut the f**k up and go back to your room. And I’m warning you for the last time—don’t push me to do something you’ll regret later.” His words carried a dangerous edge. “What will you do? Beat me? Like a typical husband?” I spat bitterly. “What? Have you lost your mind?” “Yeah? What else can you do to scare me?” My eyes locked with his, daring him. “Fine. Then see the worst.” The next moment, his lips crushed against mine. Wait—what? I was too shocked to react. By the time my mind returned, I tried pushing him away, but he grabbed my wrists and pinned them above my head. My knees grew weak. My body betrayed me. Slowly, I gave in… kissing him back. My first kiss. I never imagined it would feel like this. He released my hands only to pull me closer. My arms clutched his shoulders for support. His grip on my waist tightened as he steered us toward my room, our lips never parting. In one swift motion, he tugged off my top and tossed it aside. He pushed me onto the bed and stripped off his shirt, hovering over me. His lips trailed fire across my skin, kissing and sucking down my chest while I bit my lip to suppress the moans threatening to escape. My bra joined the pile of discarded clothes. I should have stopped him… but I didn’t. Why? Why wasn’t I resisting? His mouth closed over my breasts, sucking, biting, pinching until I couldn’t hold back anymore. “Ahh…” I moaned helplessly. His eyes locked onto mine as he unbuttoned his pants. Soon, my panties were gone too. Alana, stop him! He’s going to take your virginity—stop him! But my body wasn’t listening. He rubbed himself against my c**t, teasing, eyes never leaving mine. “You should have listened to me,” he whispered darkly. And then—he entered me. Slowly, deeply. My grip on the bedsheet tightened as pain and pleasure clashed inside me. He thrusted softly at first, then harder, faster. “f**k, you’re so tight,” he groaned. His lips claimed mine again, muffling my cries. Minutes blurred. My body shook as he finally released, collapsing onto me, both of us breathless. “I didn’t know you were a virgin,” he murmured huskily against my neck. My hand moved instinctively, caressing his hair. My heart was still racing when— “Chris?” The voice froze us both. We looked up together— “Jannie,” he whispered in utter shock.
