CHAPTER 7
Midnight laid in bed thinking he should go check out his new state of the art office. The problem was he also knew he couldn't concentrate enough to appreciate it. All the things he had learned about his life and what was expected of him weighed heavily on his mind. Midnight knew there was no way he was going back to sleep. Even though it was barely six in the morning, he might as well get up.
Sky slept next to him. Even though he had his own room, they had always shared, and neither was willing to sleep without the other. Looking at the cot at the foot of the bed, Midnight couldn't help but smile at his new brother, Rey. The little guy had asked if he could be with them and sensing the man's fear of his new surroundings, both Midnight and Sky had gladly welcomed him.
