Inside thoughts 2

POV Ella Well today has been a s**t show of a day. After I left father's office, I found myself in a very confused state of mind. I'm not sure why my parents didn't give me a heads up about so many things this week. I should of known before the others about the prom. I should of known before anyone else that the Lycan Beta would be on our lands. I should of had some sort of knowledge as to why any of this was going on. Instead I was just expected to handle everything with grace and dignity. The same grace and dignity that no one alloted to me. I walked the pack house, deciding what should be my next move. ~Ella, calm yourself. You are acting like a pup walking into a bear den. Your mind is all over the place and it's causing more anxiety than I care to deal with. We need to rest or kill something. Honestly, either sounds amazing to me.~ ~You can't expect me to be perfectly calm. Somehow we missed a Lycan on our lands. What if it had been a rougue? We could of easily been over come by an attack. We didn't even notice until far to late into it. We should of been warned of the drill or warned that a hellishly tall Lycan would be walking around.~ ~ You handled the entire situation well. Things are going to come up in life that we are not 110% prepared for. Life isn't a plan that is written and followed without question. You should know that. You question everything everyday. If it had been a rougue we would of smelled the smell of dung. They all stink. At least that's what warrior training has taught us. They can't mask their scent and werewolves aren't meant to take on Lycan's. Although, I'm sure we would of attacked and got a few good scars in.~ ~E, you are so confident.~ ~One of us needs to be. You know I wouldn't want to shrink and become a smaller wolf. You better get your confidence up, no one wants us to turn into a runt.~ As a wolf born from alpha blood, our wolf size was directly related to our confidence, strength, and mental prowess. Going weeks under duress or mental anguish could cause one's wolf to shrink. I only ever saw that happen to one wolf. His mate had passed away during birth with the pup, and within months his wolf was so small he could of passed as a human pet. He ended up going rogue and as far as we know he passed away shortly after. Losing a mate can cause a wolf to go insane. Especially if they have no one else depending on them. A mate bond made both wolves stronger, happier, and all around better pack members. However, if a wolf rejected the mate bond, the pain would follow them for life. The bond would slowly kill both of them, unless a second chance mate was found. It's not all that rare for a second chance mate to come around, but you never knew. The moon goddess, was known to at times, have third and fourth chance mates, although it was rare. I often wondered if she did that for her favorite wolves, or if it was some sick joke to her. ~Ella, the moon goddess would never play games. She unites us with a mate through an invisible thread. Your mate is meant to compliment you, help you grow in all areas of life, and to of course make pups with! If you never find one, you will still be so strong and can pick a chosen mate, like humans do. A mate is not a game.~ ~I know that. I am personally fine with no mate.~ ~Then who will take the pack over from us when we are to old to carry on the duties?~ Ouch. That's a thought the think about... I pushed E back to the recesses of my mind and walked to my room. A quick shower and a nap sounded absolutly wonderful. Maybe if I got my mind to slow down and my wolf to be quiet, I might make it through dinner. Tonight dinner would probably take hours and hours. ~MOM! I'm going to rest up before dinner. We have a couple hours left, I just wanted you to know before I shut down my mind link. Also, so you don't wake me to early.~ ~Thank you daughter. I'm out for a run. I have a dress I used to wear being sent up for you. I'll tell the Omega to leave it at the door. I expect you to wear it tonight. No agruements. I had the tailer fix it to your specific measurements so it will fit beautifully. Tonight we introduce our first guest. Don't forget your father wants you fitted tomorrow.~ ~YES MOTHER.~ I screamed through the link before shutting it off by placing my mind link up. MOTHERS! POV Trubel It's been an amazing day. It's been many years since I stumbled into my old friend. When the invitation arrived I was lucky enough to see it before Astrin. He was such a stick in the mud. Astrin was amazing to work with, but he focused so much on work, warrior training and pack matters... Well let's just say I haven't seen him smile in years. He was the Norther Lycan king, and as such was responsible for everything Lycan and werewolf. "Hey Astrin, we got another invite to one of those pompous schools. This one I'd actually like to go to. But of course Beta's aren't allowed to go alone. How about you think about this one? It's a tiny place and I know the Alpha..." "MmmmHmmm whaterever you want to do. Make sure it's worth my time and let me know. I'm to busy to argue with you." I remember laughing because I doubt he knew what he agreed to. Snickering through the hall way I had called Alpha Grimd and informed him of my intentions. And two days later here I was in their home. The rooms were smaller than I was used to, however; they were warm and inviting. I'd been through the land most of the day, no sign of rogues, no wolves I didn't think we couldn't put in place, and I'd even left some of my gear along the border to monitor the coming and goings of the wolf patrols. So far I didn't have a single issue with things here. And that girl. Ella was going to be amusing to aggrivate. She had an aura around her that was nothing less than Lycan size. She had attitude, but it was held back with a tad bit of patience. I wouldn't of expected anything else from the blessed Alpha and Luna. They were fortold to bring forth the strongest children ever known to man. Somehow they only had one daughter and she was by far the most interesting soul I'd met here so far. Picking up the phone I decide it's time to talk to Astrin. "Hello." "Hey Astrin! So far this pack looks like a good fit for you to take a small vacation. Borders are good, protocols are good, and I've got gear up to keep an eye out. It's a rather calm pack. Small. But mighty." "I don't know why you want to do this Trubel. We shouldn't be associating with the werewolves. We are here to offer protection, supplies, and trading. Not to prance around looking like we are one of them. They are runts in comparison." "Yeah, Big bad King can't be bothered to be seen with the peasants... Oh no they might think that he has a life outside of managing all the packs and doing paperwork" Astrin growled through the phone and I know I am pushing my luck. "Beta or not I can have you beheaded in an instant. Just because you are my best friend, you don't get to disrespect me. I value your candid thoughts, but now is not the time. The rogues seem to be attacking more and many packs are getting depleted. I have a lot to manage here." "Sorry. I just really think that you need to step away and this place is great for what it is." "Don't call me again until you finish the assessment. You have 24 hours." Click. I stood holding the phone wondering if I should annoy him and call him back... Naw. Instead I started to unpack and prepare myself for dinner. Food was always a great way to calm a tired Lycan down. And I know I was starving. Please let there be a lot of red meant. My stomach growls loudly as I fold my clothes and put them into the drawers.
