By the time I got home I tried to keep up a pretense to make my mother believe that everything was normal with me, it would not do to have her thinking that I was getting in some type of trouble. When I slipped into my bed after making jokes and grinning throughout dinner I slipped into bed and was so exhausted that i fell asleep which was a surprise because I expected that there would be too much on my mind to allow me sleep.
I woke up the next morning and felt the unease settle in the pit of my stomach as I remembered what I had discovered or not discovered about Sean. I looked through my phone hoping to get better news from Jake after I sent him Aaron Burns name and when I saw that he had not sent anything back I had to remind myself to calm down and wait patiently.
