Garrison O’Grady POV FUCK!! I can’t believe that I made stupid mistakes like I did! I should not have killed Cole Andrson as soon as I did. I have rules for a reason and I could use the excuse that I was thrown off my game but this is not my first time taking a life so I had no good excuse for the mistakes I have made. I needed to focus so that I didn’t make any more mistakes going forward. I did not know who was calling me but whoever it was knew that he killed Cole Anderson and who exactly he is. I need to get my head on straight and find out who this individual is and fast. I was getting some fresh air so I was walking down Main street when I passed by a newspaper stand and barely glanced at the images as I walked passed. Once my brain caught up to what I saw I stopped in my tracks. I quickly walked back to the stand and grabbed a newspaper and stared in shock. Some one had beat him to Trisha Pardue! “How much for the paper?” “That will be a $1.00, anything else interest you?” “Nope just the paper, thank you.” I tossed the money at the vendor and was on my way back to my car. I sat there scanning the paper. The guy called himself ‘The Angel of Mercy’, he rapes and strangles his victims then he poses their bodies. After ‘crucifying’ his victims he then places a halo atop their heads. The halo is usually made of bras or steel painted in gold, he then shoves the long stem of the halo into his victims spinal columns. The authorities have no idea who the killer is, his victims range in age, race, religion, and neighborhoods. The only link that they have in common is the killer. I crumpled the paper in my hands and threw it in anger. How dare this guy! He was working in my neighborhood and stole from him! I thought back to the calls that I have received and a sick feeling hit me when I put two and two together. I have no doubt that this killer is the asshole calling me, f*****g with my mind! I hate mind games especially if I am the one on the receiving end! This punk distracted me with the calls so that he could sweep in and take my target!. I needed to get this fucker dealt with sooner rather than later because he was ruining all my plans. I was on schedule to kidnap my main target, Sierra Ryans, in a couple of months but now that this asshole popped up and derailed his plans he needed a new plan! I was so f*****g irritated due to the snags that kept being thrown at me. I drove to a nearby café and sat down at the table located in an isolated corner. I opened my laptop and started some investigating of my own. First I found that Sierra and her husband, Xavier, have a child! I smiled smugly to myself when I read that. Perfect! What a better way to torture Sierra than through her child! I needed to ‘stalk’ them for a while to find a time that allowed me to nab the child. Once everything was planned for Sierra’s torture I started digging into my newest adversary. With all of my investigation abilities I came up completely dry. I hated the fact that I must wait for him to call me back. With nothing else to do but wait I quickly paid my bill at the café and went in search of an audio store to pick up some supplies for the next time the fucker calls. It took me about 15 minutes and I finally found what I was looking for. I entered Electronics Surplus and walked up to the counter. I didn’t see anyone so I rang the service bell in hopes of getting a female associate. A tall, young-looking man emerged from the back office. “What can I help you with, sir?” I immediately looked embarrassed. “Well, this is actually kind of embarrassing, a couple of weeks ago I met a young lady and we had some fun, but now she won’t stop calling, at least I think it’s her. Anyways, she uses different phone numbers and before I can go to the police I need to know where she is. So, I guess what I’m asking is if you have something that I can trace the call with?” I laid it on think that I was being stalked by a crazy chick. He sent me a sympathetic smile. “I actually had the same thing happen to me a couple years ago, so I understand and I actually don’t have anything here but give me a couple of minutes and I can let you have one that I bought from a friend.” The guy was gone about 5 minutes, and when he came back he was holding a device that I have never seen before. “So, what you want to do is attach this end to your cell phone.” He pointed to what looked like a mechanical claws located at the bottom of the device. “Then punch in the phone number that was used the most to call you or any other phone numbers were used. The keypad locks when the tracer is in use.” The keypad of the device opposite the claws. “So how many numbers does the memory hold?” I asked curiously. “It can hold up to three phone numbers.” I was intrigued. “Awesome, how much do you want for it?” I asked as I reached for my wallet. “Nothing, you can have it.” He smiled at me. I narrowed my eyes at him for a moment. “Are you sure?” I asked as I waited for his answer. After he nodded at me I smiled. “Wow, thanks. May I ask you why you don’t want anything for it?” The associate cautiously looked around then leaned in closer before whispering. “The device isn’t exactly legal.” I nodded that I understood and slyly put the device in my coat pocket then continued to look around before leaving the store and headed back into my car. I made it back to my place, with a sly smile on my face. Alright, you son of a b***h, let’s play cat and mouse!
