Detective Sierra Ryans POV
“Why the hell didn’t you tell me that you were already married?!” I was seething as I drove to the caverns, where the masters were located. I couldn’t believe that in 4 years that we have been together that he already had a wife!
“Sierra, can we not do this right now? Chancey is already upset.” Xavier said, not willing to go into detail about what happened all those years ago.
I glanced at Chancey through the rear-view mirror. I saw that she had been crying. “Chancey, what is wrong, baby?”
Xavier interrupted Chancey. “She’s had a hard day.”
I looked at Xavier and if looks could kill he would be 6 feet under right now! “I was talking to Chancey, not you.” I looked back at my daughter. “Honey, can you please tell me what’s wrong?”
