Zack POV
After hearing Sean's confession, I felt a wave of shame wash over me. Though I felt relieved at the same moment, it was apparent in her eyes that I had caused her a great deal of pain. Now all I have to do is concentrate on regaining her trust. A melodic voice interrupted my thoughts. I returned my glance to Maya. Her skin was pallid and dreary. "Would you kindly explain me why Mrs. Rose is furious with me?" she requested, frowning. I shook my head, puzzled as to why her mother was upset with her. In fact, she was enraged that I had fired Maya from her job. But she saw what I was going through and asked me to reconsider the issue. I didn't fire her since I didn't have a good reason.
