I turned to look helplessly at Felicia. "Sit and rest for a while. Are you going to head back to school later?"
With curious eyes, Felicia looked around before having a seat on the sofa. "Your house isn't that far from school! Oh right, do you and Lilian sleep in different bedrooms?"
I did not answer her question and instead, handed her a can of drink. "Drink up and wait here. I'll go wash off all the sweat from earlier."
I went back to my room. I was about to take off my clothes when the phone started to ring. I saw that it was May and answered, "What's the matter?"
May said in an urgent voice, "Something terrible just happened, Jake!"
