I woke up suddenly gasping for air, my pulse racing erratically. Those familiar noises, raging fire, people wailing are still ringing in my head. I place my hands on either of my head calm myself down. I get up from my bed to shower because that's the only thing which helps me calm down. Standing down of the shower head I try not to think of what happened this morning and focus on tiles of bathroom they are of plain boring grey just like me and my soul. After what feels like an hour I step out of the shower and as I was making my towards closet I hear someone knocking on my door, I groan and cry out " just a minute ". I dress myself quickly and bolt towards the door. As I open it, I met with familiar blue eyes. The one who helped me a lot, was always there for me. And yes I like him, not much only tiny little bit. " Hey short stuff wake up!! Come on girl you can literally zone out anywhere. By the way what were you thinking soo hard ..? " he says startling me " Nothing ". " And my dad wants to talk to you " colt says smiling warmly. " Okay let's go"
We stop in front of large mahogany door, which is partially open. Colts knocks on door and we hear a voice saying come in, he opens the door and we go in. I look around there is large window behind the desk, files and papers are scattered everywhere on the desk, I resist the urge to clean it up and place in the order. I snap out of my reverie when I hear someone clear throat. I look towards Mark, Colt's father smiling warmly as if he was going to say " how are you, honey .? ". I smile brightly and answer " I am fine, how are you Mark .? " He rubs both his palms excitedly, as if he is gonna say some juicy secret " Ah honey I am fine. Now !! I have something exciting to tell you about ". " What is it .? " I ask furrowing my brows. " The thing is you could join for today's mission" Mark grins. I suppress myself from squealing, giggling and smile brightly " thank you Mark, I wanted to do this for a long time". " But I am coming with you. We don't want anything happening to you or your pretty face" colt says suddenly out of nowhere making me blush. Don't freak out Aurora, Don't freak out Aurora I chant to myself. Then suddenly someone knocks on door coming to my rescue, he comes in and says " it's time ". Colt and Mark both nod .
I make a quick stop at my room and grab leather jacket. I head down to see everyone getting inside trucks. It happened so fast one moment I was standing and then next I was not able to breathe properly. After few seconds I understood what was the reason, my three i***t best friends were squeezing the life out of me. I glare at them as soon as they left me, they giggle and grin in mischief like seriously ..." When Colt said me you were coming, I was soo happy." Stella says grinning excitedly and other two nod approvingly. " Come on sweets, let's go " Casper winks at me. We all climb in a truck with some others. Colt comes suddenly and searching for something me I think because as soon as he sees me, he makes his way towards me and sits in front. He turns and smiles at me warmly, then turns to front. And then we start driving to some warehouse. I heard Colt saying that it was some drug shipment case. My leg is bouncing up and down, I can't contain my excitement. I have a goofy smile on my face, I feel so good, I feel alive. I almost stop myself from asking where we are and how much time it will take more to reach.
After what feels like an eternity we reach. The warehouse is so old and creepy. We park behind some bushes and climb out slowly. They all started going in different directions like they already made a plan, God I am soo dumb obviously they will plan before. My three best friends turned serious and started going. Even I started going but someone stopped me I turned to see who it is and well gee it is Colt " Be here, don't come inside. I am serious." I nod my head assuring him.
As soon as he left I started looking for any other way in, then I noticed a window it is somewhat high, there are trees near that window. I formed a plan and started going slowly when I reached I started climbing tree, later I crawled to branch which leads to window. After reaching carefully I saw inside that if any threat is lurking, when it was clear I carefully balanced on branch of tree and jumped in. Inside is not at all good, it smells foul. I am hearing sounds, two men and they are aware of us coming. I quickly went towards them and tapped on shoulder and gave a real hard punch. He fell down groaning. As I turned around the other guy already started punching me but I Dodged it and kicked in his balls. Well 2 down few more to go, suddenly I heard shots being fired, I quickly started going there. From far I could there were at least some 10 men 2 of them were already down. I took out my sniper and aimed at one guy and shot. And then other guy was out. As they realized someone was shooting from back, I hid behind boxes. I hear some footsteps coming towards me. I started looking around for some hard object, I found a metal rod. I took it, started waiting for perfect moment. When it was, I turned around gave a real hard hit on his head he fell down. When I was making my way towards everyone someone grabbed me from behind and placed a sharp knife at my neck " show now b***h what happened now..? You are woman. Woman are weak.." he started laughing. Then everyone came running towards us. All of them held shock and fear. " Leave her. Don't you dare anything to do her. If you do anything to her, I will not leave you jack " Colt says angrily. " Those threats don't scare me Colt. Try something new. " As his focus was on Colt, I stomped his foot real hard and at the same time I grabbed the hand in which he held knife with all my effort I pushed him back. He fell down, I sat on top of him and gave real hard punch on his nose and there my lovely people, I broke his nose.
I looked around to see everyone surprised and then my gaze landed on Colt, he was already staring at me or should I say glaring. He started making his way towards me. When he was in front of me, he stopped and yelled " are you mad .? I told you to stay outside. Do you have any idea what would happened to you.." He started dragging me outside and made me sit inside truck.
After what felt an hour they came outside. When Stella noticed me, she came running towards me and hugged me " Girl !! What you did there was soo good. It was incredible "
" Yeah that was hot " Casper said winking at me. Mason nodded agreeing with him. " okay enough of chit chat, now move" Colt says with a scowl on his face .Not to make him anymore and we all got into truck. I was over the moon, when we reached home. " lets do a movie marathon and lots of junk food " Casper yelled excitedly and other two squeal jumping on the couch. and after an hour, we are sprawled on couch watching Mission Impossible, with empty pizza boxes and cans laying around. I was never this happy or content as I am feeling now, I guess going on a mission or beating up their asses helped me today. Thinking of this all reminds of how much I miss my parents. my dad coming home to us, after a busy day of work, spending with us and listening to how our day was. my mom cooking different dishes just to feed us and then like every other happy family at the end of the day we watch our most cherished movie. suddenly it gets difficult to breathe, my throat starts closing up and my eyes burn. quickly I rise and mumble to my friends that I am in need of fresh air and scramble out. silently hoping that no one will follow me, I try to take deep breaths by counting to five. a pair of hands pat my back and murmur some soothing words. I instantly turn in his arms and hug him, I inhale the familiar cologne, step back slowly and I gaze up at him. He looks so beautiful under moon light, his eyes are bright and warm. " you okay .?" he asks me. I nod and reply "yes, I am fine Colt". suddenly I am aware of close we are and my face starts heating up. He notices this and chuckles, I try to step away from him but he holds me tighter not letting me go, he starts to lean in and I start getting uncomfortable. he notices this and kisses me on the cheek saying we got lots of time. I blink and ask "what.?". He rubs the back of his neck and blurts out " I like you" with hopeful blue eyes. and immediately I say " I like you too". he hugs me instantly and pecks me on the forehead with a full blown smile on his face. Just then Stella starts shouting to come back inside. he takes my hand and leads me inside. I see all of them already asleep, only Stella is the one excitedly watching. "come babe watch, it is getting interesting". I groan " no Stella, I am tired. I want to sleep". "ok lets head to bed". And we started waking up others so they can sleep on their beds. then I reached my room and crawled to my bed sleeping happily.
