Pretty little liar

1010 Words
Alexander walked into the room prepared for him, everything was arranged well. He took off his robe and then there was a knock on the door. He opened it to find a maid standing there, her head was hung low. "Your majesty, I—I am here to tend to your needs." She stammered, it is no surprise to him, the rumors around him was deadly, enough to make anyone scared and worst of all a spineless humans. "You may leave." He said, before she could say anything else he closed the door and walked towards the bathroom and took a cold shower. After he changed into his clothes— a black trouser and white loose shirt. He walked out of his room and through the corridor of the palace, it was a fine palace of course, he stepped into a balcony which overlooked the whole city. Despite everywhere being dark with a few lights on, he could perfectly see everthing. The cold night breeze brushed through him, he turned to the guard standing just a few feets away. "Get me a coat." he commanded and the man nodded, he spun on his heel and walked away. A few moments passed, a moment of peace and quiet, his mind drifted to the king Calum's words, marry his daughter? Alexander let out a scoff, he planned it all along, using this situation to push his daughter on him, he'd rather not think about it cause it was making him irritated. And then, like a ray of light, the image of Serena appeared in his head. He brought her to the palace with unknown purpose, he still didn't know what to do with her, and right now her existence was getting more and more important to him than he planned for it to be. Her scent, her everthing and worst of all he had her blood and there was no doubt it made him more powerful than he was. She's a mystery and he just has to keep her to find out. A low hiss barely above a whisper escaped his lips, his thoughts were disrupted and he hated it... "How long are you going to keep standing there?" Alexander's midnight black eyes turned to the figure standing at the entrance of the balcony, it was none other than the princess of the human kingdom. "Your highness, I didn't think you'd notice me." She said walking towards him, she stood by his side with a little space between them, in her hands was the coat he asked for. Seeing him so close to her, she couldn't grasp how breathtaken and handsome he was. No man in Greenville could stand a chance against him in beauty. And she was surprised by how he quickly picked up her scent, he knew she'd been standing there. Alexander eyes moved to the coat in her arms. "Why would you bring the coat, since when do you run errands for me Amelia?" he asked his voice held no emotion. He watched as her lips spread into a smile. "Well I couldn't sleep so I decided to take a stroll when I passed by and heard you telling the guard to get you a coat so I thought why not just bring it myself and keep you company, if you don't mind." Amelia replied softly. Pretty little liar. She watched as he took the coat and wore it on himself, it draped down his body covering his clothes. He could feel her staring and he turned to her, a blush crept on her face. Judging from her outfit, it was a chilly night and here she was wearing something revealing, what a coincidence. "I know I am breathtaking but can you stop staring so deeply at me?" He asked taking her by surprise. "Forgive me King Alexander." She said, his words made her feel embarrassed, he caught her staring so openly at him. She knew he was a proud man but saying he's breathtaking, she didn't expect him to be this narcissist. "You should go back inside, it's chilly." He said noticing she didn't bring a shawl. Amelia smiled, he did care about me, she thought, she didn't know why but there was something about the Vampire king, something about him that made her feel ways she couldn't explain, the was he looked at her, carries his self, how toxicating yet sweet scent, the way his eyes glimmers under the night sky. Amelia cleared her throat. "So did my father say anything?" She asked. Alexander turned to her. "Your father said a lot of things, what part in particular?" He asked, though he knew what she wanted. Amelia pursed her lips in a thin line. "Well, did he make mention of me?" She asked. A moment of silence passed. "Thought so." He said. "The king is egar to form alliance." That was all that came out of his lips. From the corner of his eyes he could see Amelia trying to hide her excitment, she tired her best to cover her smile but he didn't fail to notice it. She leaned her back near the railings of the balcony. "And what is your reply?" she asked. "I'll think about it." He replied immediatly. Amelia smiled widely, she was about to say something but Alexander stopped her. "I've had a tiresome journey, I need to sleep." With that he turned around and walked away, the spark that was there left with him, leaving behind his scent, she felt unhappy by the way he just left but what could she do, the king of Noct has always been a man of few words and always cherishes his alone time. Amelia took in a deep breath before turning around and walked to her chamber. It was late and she needed rest, at least she'll have a peaceful sleep knowing King Alexander is going to think about their marriage and honestly she hoped he would consider it very carefully because she already has her answers and what she wants it to be.
