Stepping foot into Kibu restaurant was like stepping into another world. Lush tropical plants provided privacy and a soft touch to otherwise hard, sleek surfaces of polished wood, stainless steel and glass. So much glass. The restaurant occupied the top floor of Roxburg's tallest building and provided three-sixty degree views of the city lights below. It was like floating on a cloud above the stars. Inside the restaurant, the lights were dimmed, but I could still make out some of the diners as we were shown to our table. I recognized an actor here, a model there, and several faces I knew but couldn't place.
