They showered, dressed, and had breakfast. The curtains and blinds to the front of the house remained closed, as did those at the sides. So far, Alex had managed to keep the curtains to the patio doors open so they could see the river. Fortunately, that frontage point had an obstructed view from the other side. The only way the media could take advantage would be from a boat. They wouldn’t take long to figure that out or to organise.
“We never had this much attention.”
Whether Nick was surprised or teasing hardly mattered. “How the mighty has fallen. It’s a good story.” Phillip gave the other man a quick smile, a tug of his lips that fell back to brooding.
Alex got off the phone. “Our transport will be here in ten.”
