Maybe the look on Gary’s face made the attendant’s expression change from suspicion to compassion, but since he’d arrived at the care home, this was the first time anyone had believed the lies that had got him over the threshold. Naturally, his identity had also helped. Gary Caldwell didn’t think he would have made it past reception if not for his celebrity status.
