Alexis's POV
Jake pushes himself off the sofa as I grabbed hold of the twins by their hand. Killian walked out into the hallway and opened the front door, just as two scouts climbed the short flight of stairs to the porch.
"What's the situation?" I hear Killian ask as the muffled sound of the scouts' voices answered him.
"Lexi!" Killian calls out to me and I rush out the door with the twins at my heels.
"What is it?" I asked, my voice coming out slightly worried.
"There's a small group coming straight to the compound, and a separate group of three, two men and one woman coming from the east. We have patrols on the tails of both, but after what I saw happened with commander Jake, I thought we should get word to to you first."
