Mark pulled up in front of the mansion and killed the engine, his eyes scanning the building before looking at Sara. "You work here?" he asked, raising an eyebrow. Sara gave a small nod. He checked his watch, calculating something in his head. "Alright. I’ll be back at one forty-five." "Why?" she asked, confused by the precision. "So neither of us has to wait around," he replied plainly, like it was the most obvious solution. His tone had a certain finality to it that made it hard to argue with.
