Who knew an ordinary piece of paper could make ones heart race. Different thought cloud my mind. Where could this letter come from. Who would have been bold enough to sneak into this house to leave a letter in my room. I thought this place will be well guarded since everyone in it are werewolves.

I look at the letter infront of me once again and my panic increases. Where do this come from do I have a stalker, who is this bold to send himself to a werewolf house,moreover I haven't met any human for me to have a stalker. Unless the person who drop this is a werewolf. Jasper's last word came back to me.

'Just like lord voldermort came back for harry potter, your mate is coming back for you'.

It not like I believe what he said, he could actually be right, because people keep talking about the mate like they all refer him to, but I couldn't stop myself from thinking about another possible suspect.

STEVE.

He could be the one that sent the letter, because he his the only nightmare I have expect the one I'm yet to know, one whom they refer to as my mate.

The word at the end 'the only one for you' rings bell in my head, but I can't remember where I heard it from or who said it.

Stuffing the paper under my pillow, I lay down on my bed thinking about what happened today, Jasper's new personality, and the reason why Dora is against my friendship with Jasper.

I don't blame her but I won't allow her dictate to me who I'm to talk with. My families are not even helping matters, yes Jasper is the decendant of this pack rival who has died over three hundred years ago. I don't know why they have to drag the innocent generation into their useless feud.

Still lost in my thought, a knock came from my room door. Turning my back to the door, I already knew who is at the door, I don't need to turn around to know the person.

My mother step into the room even without me giving her any response to her knock.

"Bree, dear". She called, making her way towards my bed. I can feel her weight on my bed as she makes herself comfortable.

Still refusing to give her any audience, I'm not ready to listen to any of her lectures on my association with Jasper. I already know what she is about to say.

"Bree, I know you can hear me. I'm your mother and I will always tell you the truth and what is right for you".

Tell me the truth! Like she told me the truth about my father or what transpires when she gave birth to me. She even lied about my brother going to the military, whereas he was here taking care of wolf business with Ruben, whom I'm getting to know as my father upon my arrival here.

She is here telling me she will always tell me the truth. Truth my foot. Instead of saying this to her, I ignore her.

"Bree, I don't know what is going on in your head right now, but I want you to know I care about you and whatever I'm doing, I'm doing it to protect you",

"people already detest you for being mate with the monster".

"He has a name dont refer to him as a monster". I mumbled. I'm sure she would have scurried her face in grody at my words of defense.

I don't know why I did it but I felt it not right to keep calling him monster even if I don't know why he is referred to as monster. I don't think the reason is because he marked me when I was a baby, I believe there is more to it.

"Like I said you're been detest for been mate with the monster," she said emphasizing on the monster.

"do you know what people are saying"? I couldn't help but turn to face my mother.

"better". she mutter as she sees my change of position. I scoffed at her word.

"What are people saying"? I asked resting my chin on my bent arm getting comfortable.

"People thinks you will be the down fall of the pack". She tells me.

"Downfall of the pack, why would I be the downfall of a place I bearly know, How can I possibly be the downfall of a place I don't know until last week." I can't help but ask her.

"It is whom you are mate with that will be the downfall of the pack". Whom I'm mate with, I really don't understand what she is saying right now.

"How is that any of my business, if it is the wolf that will be their downfall, they should direct their detest to him and not me. It not as if I chooses to be marked by him". I huffed in annoyance, it not as if I asked for this wolf life style.

I was doing perfectly fine in New York with my friends before knowing about this world. I'm not even allowed to tell humans about our existence, if not I would have told them.

I need someone who I can talk to and such person won't have the same metology as my mother. My family and Dorothy is out of the list, because they would just support my mother, I can't tell jasper because he believe they are also right even if it is against him and his kind. The only person who isn't bias is Lucy, but I'm not close to her. All I want right now is to go back to my former life but I know it something that can't happen again.

"It your business, well not until you break the bond with him". What does she mean by breaking the bond. Whenever I think I'm getting to understand this lifestyle, new things just pop up and makes me feel dull about the whole understanding this whole life.

"Like I said, it your business as far as you are still mate with him. So whatever detest he receive, you also will receive it", If I can do anything to trade this life for anything i will do it, because things just get complicated as time goes on.

"But your case is quite different. You were still a baby when it marked you, so when you are of age, I'm sure he will come looking for you, that is why you need to train harder so you will be able to face him when the time comes. When he comes for you, you will break the bond with him and will marry the alpha. Before then I would have taught you the word to say to break the bond." Wait, what the f**k is she talking about, what marriage is she planning with the alpha , I'm not ready for any marriage now or anytime soon. Moreover, isn't Dorothy father the alpha.

"Why don't you use the word, you are selling me off to an old man, my friend's father for that matter, what do you think I am, a property". I said sitting upright glaring at her in annoyance. I wasn't expecting her next reaction. She burst into laughter, I furrowed my brow, does she think this is funny.

"No darling Dorothy father is just acting in place for his son". She said still laughing. I felt embarrassed for thinking she would pair me with an old man, even at that she has no right to choose who I'm to marry.

"I never knew Dorothy has a brother".

"Oh darling you know more than anyone." She said still smiling.

"What do you mean I know more than anyone"?

"You don't worry it a surprise".

"I don't want any surprise, you don't even have right to choose who I will marry".

"I'm sure you will change your words when you see the person".

No word is uttered for some minute. My mother is still smiling, I'm such she is smiling to whatever she is thinking about. Still smiling at me, she pats my hair then uses her thumb to draw circle on my cheek.

"I love you sweetheart and I want what is best for you. I don't want you to associate with the omega again" she said still caressing my cheek. I nod my head to let her leave me be.

Don't get me wrong I don't plan on ceasing my friendship with Jasper, I just have to make her think I'm going to heed her words and stop been friends with Jasper.

After pecking me on my forehead she left my room. Letting out a sigh, I took my phone and dial Dorothy's number. I now understand why she really was against my friendship with Jasper, but I still have to let her know she can't tell me who to talk with.

"Hey bree". Dora's voice came through has she picked the call.

"Hey dora".

"I'm so sorry for how I reacted about you being friends with jasper I'm so sorry I shouldn't have decide for you whom you are to talk and associate with I'm so so sorry bree". She said all in one breath. I can hear her trying to catch her breath, after the speech she just made.

"Girl chill, it okay I'm not angry, actually I am, but I have decide not to be, because I understand why you did that even if the reason is barbaric, I still understand, what I want from you is for you to respect my decision".

"Oh, okay if that is what you want I will respect your decision. Are we good now". She asked me antispating my response.

"Yes we are good". I replied smiling, even when I know she won't see it.

"How about we met up after your training tomorrow"?

"Sure. I sure will need to go out after hours of training".

"Ok, bye see you at school tomorrow". I said my final goodbye before hanging up.

I guess I have to go and check what my brother and Ruben are doing after ignoring them when I got back... I mean dragged back by my brother from jasper mum's restaurant.

I stopped at the foot of the stair at the sound of muffled voices.

"Steve decide to throw the welcome party" the voice whom I'm very sure belongs to Ruben. Did he just say Steve, I doubt it the Steve I know.

"Ok it meant to be a surprise, she will be so shocked when she sees Steve again, you know she had a huge crush on him when she was younger". I hear my mother voice says.

No, no, no, it can't be, I thought as I begin to take step backward before running back to my room.
