Chapter 21 – The Snowball Fight“What special day was February 1?” asks Miss Penny.
“Robinson Crusoe Day,” everyone yells.
“Very good, class,” she says. “Johnny, tell us what you know about Robinson Crusoe.” Johnny doesn’t know much about anything except pigs because his pa’s a pig farmer. He stands up quick as a wink. There’s a big smile on his face.
“Robinson Crusoe loved pigs. When his boat crashed, all the pigs on board swam to shore. Robinson had bacon for breakfast, ham sandwiches for lunch, and pork belly for supper. What else do you want to know?” Everybody laughs even Miss Penny. She’s not as mean as she used to be. Maybe she got a good Christmas present.
“Johnny, how do you know pigs were on the Esmeralda?”
“What’s the Esmeralda?” Johnny asks
