Chapter 33 – No More School Chapter 33 – No More SchoolIt’s the last day of school. I’m in no hurry as I walk down the lane. As usual, I said goodbye to the house, and as usual, Ma and my sisters were asleep. Jazz and Jill are still mad at me because I grabbed the feed sack before they could get it. I think Candy liked her Christmas present, but it’s hard to tell with gals. They lie all the time. Pops didn’t come home or send a gift for Christmas or my birthday. Ma baked a cake, but I didn’t have a party. She said birthday parties are over now that I’m 13. I sure wish I hadn’t flunked kindergarten. I’m the oldest kid in our class and the tallest. I learned a lot this year. I don’t fight with Squeaky anymore. It’s nice to have friends and be invited to their house to play or just fool aro
