I turned my attention back to Bianca, wondering if I should give her my real name or a fake one. “I'm Avigale, I’m here on holiday with my brother.” When we got to the front of the hotel, we both stopped, looking at each other a little awkwardly, who meets someone for the first time in a forest? Us, that’s who. “Thank you for rescuing me and, walking me back.” I wasn’t sure that I needed rescuing, but I was glad I never had to find out, it was time I rained in my need to be too adventurous. “No problem we girls have to look out for each other. Though this girl is running really late, I better get home before my parents call the sheriff.” For the first time I could see her properly, she had beautiful blonde hair that pulled up into a bun, curls springing out in different directions, she had dark freckles that covered her nose and one underneath her eye, her eyes a stunning bronze like her tan. “Can I ask you a question, what scar were you talking about before?” What? What the hell did she mean what scar, it covered half of his face? “I thought you knew him a long time, what do you mean what scar, it covers half of his face.” “I’ve never once seen a scar on that guys face, like ever. He is undeniably perfect, besides his attitude.” “Why do you think he picked tonight to start talking?” I was curious, okay, the guy clearly had a problem with my being here, I just didn’t know why. “Who knows what goes through that mind.” “I hope I see you again before you leave.” Bianca says turning to leave the hotel’s small front courtyard. “Crap, I thought you were joking.” Bianca turned to see what I was staring at, a puff of smoke leaving her mouth as she let out a long sigh. “Really? Are you actually kidding me?” Bianca’s says to what looks like the sheriff. “Not today Woods, though you should get home its getting late and I don’t want you getting into any trouble on my watch.” We both followed the police officer inside the hotel, there was a lobby full of his peers, officers seemed to be everywhere in conversation in groups. “What in the hell is going on?” B’s face had gone pale white, I guess one of the bad things about living in a town so small is that no matter what happens, there’s a likely chance that everyone knows the person, her hand’s started to shake; she looked up and gave me an awkward smile, moving her hand behind her back. “What are we doing here people, shall we advertise this s**t. Two people at the front door now, I hope to god someone here was smart enough to have an officer on each floor.” So he was the sheriff. “And where the hell is the Doc?” The sheriff turned to find Bianca and I following him, a look of pure annoyance on his face. “I thought I told you to go home Wood’s why can I still see you?” “Officer Henley, make sure she gets home the last thing I need right now is the mayor ringing to find her, and you.” He turned to me; Bianca jumped in before I could even say a word. “Avigale is staying here; I just wanted to make sure she got here safe.” “Very well, off you go. I’ll see to it that she gets to her room. Make sure that one gets in the front doors before you leave Henley!” Well done Avigale, police escort, as if Astin wasn’t going to kill me and change his mind about this whole thing!
