It began with a slight crush and ended with tiny pieces of that love to die with a right stab in the heart. That type of love when you come to think this is the one, the one who is right. Yeah, the one who is right to destroy what you have to love and care for them. Blind love, that’s what it was from the start. You come to think it’s love at first sight and all but it was all something that shouldn’t have happened. Can you regret it after everything? Maybe. It’s depending on the persons’ situation and how they have become now since then. Honestly, there will be times when you do, think of the outcome of how it could have been if everything wouldn't have happened, but at the end, you may be thankful for you have got something magnificent out of it. Yet in those moments you start questioning yourself, how is it possible that one can just assume the wrong and leave just as if nothing was said or happened within those few weeks of being together? It was supposed to be a moment shared with warmth and delight, but that's not how it happened. Expecting there to be understanding and recognizing from what was announced was anything but that. All the right words were said throughout time, so, what happened that night that changed everything in remembrance?

It was early morning when I decided to make a doctors appointment and afterward, head to the local cafe and start my shift. An hour after hour I was either in the bathroom or taking a one minute break outside for some fresh clean air. I had become very sick that week and having the fragrance of caffeine was a one-way passage to having a migraine. It was getting close to the time where I could step out and have my lunch break when I received a call from Daniel, who called to let me know he wouldn't be able to be home for dinner since work will take longer than usual for most of the employees called in sick and few were only at work. After grabbing my cup of peach mango tea I head into the kitchen when I bump into Mrs. Lee who's a fifty-something-year-old widow.
"Why don't you head on home Chiquita, I'll have someone else cover up the rest of your shift. Plus, you need the rest." Mrs. Lee says after piling up two boxes of to-go food into a plastic bag.
"I really don't mind finishing up my shift Mrs. Lee plus -"
"- no Chiquita you head back home and finish packing, de todos modos I need you to hand this over to Daniel since he didn't come by as usual." She says while handing me a bag to go which seems to be two boxes of breakfast.
"Alright, muchas gracias see you soon Mrs. Lee." After clocking out and taking the city bus back home I dropped off the food on the kitchen counter and walked down the few blocks to Target to buy a few supplies and groceries for the home.
Afterward, I headed to the dollar store for some snacks and returned back home to put everything in its place. Checking the time it was nearly almost five o'clock which meant I had to reheat the food Mrs. Lee had given me, and afterward head to the guest room to finish packing. Once done with having my clothes packed into a suitcase and leaving out an outfit with a pair of underwear with a matching sports bra for a morning shower to be clean before the long drive tomorrow morning. After an hour or so, I was in the middle of packing my bathroom accessories in a small box when there was a knock on the door.
"Hey Bel, how's everything going so far?" Says Daniel, who walks into the room.
"Well, I'm close to done, I just need to pack everything up into the car," I tell him after giving him a quick hug.
"Alright well how about I finish the rest for you and pack all this in the car while you head to the kitchen and cook something up, how does that sound?"
"Sounds good to me, I'll cook us something up. Thank you, Danny"
As I walk into the kitchen I do my best to plan an easy but quick meal to make. I take out two potatoes, a tomato, cheddar cheese, and a pack of frozen veggies as well. While the potatoes and veggies cook, I start taking out a container to make pineapple mango juice. After a few minutes of waiting, I add the rest of the ingredients into the pan of potatoes and add species to both the potatoes and veggies that way they have a bitter but sweet taste to it. Once they're cooked well, I put some into two plates and take out two cups for Daniel and me.
"Smells delicious Bel I really hate to have to see you leave tomorrow. Is there by any chance you can, I don't know, stay longer here? Please?" He says trying his best to beg by giving me a look from his eyes that just look like they're trying to come out.
"Well I would like to stay longer and have to bother you most of the time, but you know I need this "not too short but also not too long" break from everything. It'll be good for us and our future that awaits for the dearest princess." I say as I sit down along with him to start eating our dinner.
"Of course I know that, but I'm just going to miss little Jezebel running around the place. How are you so sure it's a princess and not a prince?" James says while giving me his little smirk.
"Oh please, I know it's a princess waiting to be met by me. We'll be living in a beautiful castle surrounded by beautiful forest trees."
"Whatever you like to say your majesty" laughs out Daniel as he bows down.
