“I can handle myself.” Mason looked down at himself and the evidence that his last fight was what had landed him in this position and rolled his eyes. “All evidence to the contrary aside. I can handle weapons, been hunting for food since I was a kid.” He bit his lip. “I want time to copy and repair my Book of Line, and I want access to learn more from Dr. Anthony and Liza.” The fed stood and rested a hand on his shoulder. “All in good time, son.
