Mason sat at the small desk in the crowded confines of his room. It wasn"t much, but it was starting to feel at least somewhat like home. Maybe home was an exaggeration. It was safe, and he had everything he needed. The desk was currently covered with pages out of his Book of Line, the new book sitting open where he"d been copying the family tree. Darvin had offered to scan the old book and reproduce it for him, but Mason didn"t have much in the way of tradition handed down to him. He wanted to keep this one. Besides, it was affording him time to learn. Already his control of his own body had improved, his ability to meditate and connect to the memories inside him stronger.
