Chapter 10 - Marital Bliss

933 Words
"Good morning, princess." Wade says as he leans over and kisses my cheek. I open my eyes slightly and smile. "Coffee ?" he offers, placing a mug on the nightstand. "mmm, thank you." My voice hoarse from a mixture of all the alcohol consumed and last night antics. I glance at the clock, noticing it just past 9 am. "How are you feeling ?" "Surprisingly fine, what about you?" I answer. "No complaints here, baby." I hear from the bathroom and moments later a hear water running. I take a few sips of coffee, then open my eyes properly and see blood on the duvet. Then I let out a scream. "What ? what's wrong?" Wade runs out of the bathroom in all of his glory and sees me staring at the blood. "Ava, Avs, look at me. That's normal. It was your first time. A lot of girls bleed. It looks worse than what it is." I stand, feeling disgusted and embarrassed, and start ripping at the bedding to remove it off the bed. "Hey, Hey." Wade pulls my hands away from the bedding and holds me to him. "Look at me," he says, kissing the tip of my nose, I peak up at him through my eyelashes. Suddenly feeling really small, incomparrison to him. "It's nothing to be ashamed about, I'm honoured that you chose me. Go in there. The bath should be ready, I'll sort this." I'll be head over heels for this man soon if he carries on. I thank him, kissing his cheek, and pick up my coffee to take into the bathroom. I look at myself in the mirror and see if there's a difference. Do I look more like a woman now? but the only difference I see is my make-up smudged, my hair is matted and there is blood on my inner thighs. That's when I notice the aching of my legs and snorness between them. I turn off the tap and lower myself into the welcoming hot water and being engulfed in a mass of bubbles. I close my eyes and lean my head back, in complete bliss. When Wade steps into the bath, too. We share smiles with each other, and he pulls me to him. We have a brief kiss, which stirs a familiar feeling, but before anything can escalate, he turns me around and starts washing my body with an artificial coral sponge. I let him get to work and sink further into him. Now,this I could get used to. "Wade ?" "Mhm" he murmers, kissing my temple. "How were you here ? you were supposed to be in America ?" "I flew home late last night, I came home hoping to surprise you, but when I seen 2 glasses of wine, abandoned on the table, I knew Penny had been here and I knew where you two were likely to be." He states that matter of factly. "But how did you know where we were exactly ?" Wade chuckles, the laughter vibrating from his chest into mine. "How do you think you've been managing to get into blackout since being 15, Ava ?" I just shrugged my shoulders. Honestly, I thought we were just lucky. "We own it, baby. It'll go to Penny eventually, along with the Jewellers on the street." "Oh" is all I manage to muster as he starts gently wiping my sensitive area. "Are you still sore ?" he whispers in my ear, I hope he's thinking what I'm thinking. All I can do is shake my head, with one thing being on my mind, and that's Wade inside me. "Good" he says as he leans me over the bath and enters me at a delirious pace. The day continues this way. We talk, we laugh, we eat, we make love. All that matters is right here in this house, just us and Reaper. This is how it should be, perfection. We stay this way in marital bliss for the three weeks that follow, never leaving each others side. One day in the start of April, it was a beautiful day. Wade packed up the car, put Reaper in and we went walking off the beaten track through a forest. No people around, just us. No international phone calls to disrupt us, nothing. But I guess in time all good things come to an end. We got back to the car just as the sun was setting. We get back onto the motorway, Wades hand on my thigh and his phone rings. He checks the caller ID and pulls off the motorway to answer the call, stepping out of the car as he does so. I try to listen in but to no avail. Wade enters the car and we soon pull back onto the motorway, both of his hands are on the steering wheel, knuckles white with tension. "Is everything okay ?" I ask, placing my hand on his leg. "I've got to go to New York." He answers, no emotion on his face that I can read. "Okay. When do we need to leave?" He looks over at me briefly then back to the road. "I have to leave straight away." "right, okay" I respond, taking my hand off his leg turning away to look out of the passenger window. Just as quick as we're home and through the door, he's walking back out of it. No kiss goodbye, no idea on when he's back. He just leaves. I can't help but wonder is this how the rest of my life is going to be.
