Remy is a new recruit in the SunBeam Battalion, he expects tough training, strict instructors, and an admirable general when he joins the battalion, who would've known that the moment he joins the battalion, he was offered to drink, eat and sing with his senior and openly talk about how crap the general is.

But Remy doesn't have a problem with it, in fact, he enjoyed it, he gets to have fun in the battalion with his friends, he can drink, eat, and sing all he likes, while the other battalion is battling, here he is partying with his friends.

The wages for the combatants in this battalion are not as high as the other battalion, and it's harder to climb ranks through this battalion, but Remy doesn't care about that, who cares about wages when you can drink alcohol and eat all you like for free.

Remy had no regret staying in this battalion, until tonight, what he sees in front of him is a man in a black tight suit with blades protruding out of his hands, but that's not important what important is that this man is currently killing his friends, slashing and stabbing, rolling heads and flying limbs, body riddled with holes, some even had their brain matter gush out of their heads.

A beautiful sight for those who have mental issues, Remy doesn't have mental issues, so this scene is completely the opposite of beautiful to him."How dare you kill my friends, I'll kill you!!" Remy lifts his weapons and dashes towards the man in the black suit along with his friends.

Remy dash like an animal, when he got near Jin Sung, he lifts his weapon higher and swings it towards Jin Sung. "You better serve my brother in the afterlife as a slave!" His swords hit Jin Sung and passed through his body diagonally, that was what he thought until he sees that Jin Sung disappears like shadows. "An after-image?" Remy was bewildered, then he sees in the periphery of his vision, a sharp tungsten needle goes straight to his face, Remy doesn't have time to react because he is still swinging his blade, he doesn't even have the time to pull his blade before the tungsten needle stabs him in the eye and pierce through his head.

The needle was spinning at high speed which literally blender the brain matter inside Remy's head, Jin Sung pulls his tungsten needle and dashes towards the other combatants, Remy's body falls with a 'thud' his brain matter gushing out his head like fruit juice.

The other soldiers are terrified when they saw this, but even so, they still lift their weapons and swing them towards Jin Sung, Jin Sung easily dodge their attack and immediately counter-attack, each counter-attack took out a life.

Jin Sung slashes the neck of a man with a wand in his hands, the man's head flies to the sky and rolls a few times before falling to the ground, the wand and the body fall sideways.

Jin Sung looks at the terrified crowd."Party's time is over, pack your stuff or I'll pack your heads!" Jin Sung points the obsidian blade on his left hand to the crowd, which makes them tremble in fear.

Jin Sung knows that killing people is a nasty business, but he gotta do what he gotta do to make these rascals obedient. "What the hell are you doing standing there like statues, I said pack up your stuff!" Jin Sung was irritated that his order never been heeded by these guys.

The crowd snaps to a realization and starts running around to pack their stuff, stepping on their dead comrade while they do so, some even stumble and fall only to get stepped on by their comrade, it's like they are running from a demon.

Jin Sung was quite startled when he saw this.'Do I look that terrifying?' then he saw the countless bodies lying on the ground with none of them have a complete limb.

"Okay, maybe I did too much this time," he awkwardly scratches his head while he says so to himself, if the soldiers see this then they would never think that this man is the one who slaughters them like chicken earlier.

"Ultrasound wave!!" a soldier behind Jin Sung shouted while pointing his wand towards Jin Sung, Jin Sung didn't look backward but instead dash to the side to dodge the incoming attack, but his effort is futile and his internal organ heat up before he spits out blood from his mouth and tumbles a few times on the ground.

The soldier was surprised to see that his attack was quite effective, he pointed his wand towards Jin Sung again, just as he was about to attack with the same spell, Jin Sung appears in front of him and slashed his neck, his head fly and spin in the sky before falling to the ground rolling as a ball would.

Jin Sung pulls in his blades and holds his chest with one hand to lessen the pain. "That was a close one if I'm not careful, I could be killed by this guy" killed or be killed Jin Sung thought that was quite ironic.

After a while, the soldiers finally finish their packing and line up in front of Jin Sung, Jin Sung stroll around them to examine them for a while."Good, now march to Xiangwei, you must reach the city within a day, and don't stop until you arrive there, if I see you are late by a day, there will be huge consequences waiting for all of you!"

Jin Sung said casually but the soldiers still tremble in fear, it feels like the demon itself said those statements to them, without saying anything the soldiers started marching with their backpack filled with a bunch of equipment, with the demon eyeing them, they don't have the courage to bring alcohol with them.

After seeing them marching towards Xiangwei, Jin Sung dash and vanish from his spot.

Morning, under the thick jungle, is a huge and complex tunnel of the military base, this is the location where Ignacio and the reinforcement unit will meet. "How long until the reinforcement arrives?" Ignacio was inside his room observing the map planted on a wall, behind him is his subordinate with a scratch mark on his face."Yes, sir, the reinforcement is estimated to arrive within 4 hours,"

"Good, rearm our soldiers and prepare them for battle!"

the radio on Ignacio's desk makes a static sound before a voice comes out. "This is codename: Wandering Pigeons, BrinePort City 20.000 troops is already marching towards Xiangwei, they are determined to take down our forces because the lord of BrinePort wanted the firearm artifact, how copy?"

Ignacio turn around and took the radio in front of his mouth."This is helpless phantom 6, good copy, keep an eye on the enemy and inform me if there is something I need to know, over!"

"Affirmative, roger out!"

Ignacio puts down the radio on the desk after he makes sure that there's no voice coming out of the radio."Plant the trap and positioned the soldiers on the designated points we discussed yesterday, we can't wait until the reinforcement come!" Ignacio glance towards the man with a scratch mark on his face to see him respond.

The man snaps to attention."Yes, sir"

"dismissed!"

The man saluted before marching towards the exit.

Immediately after that, the man relays the order and the soldiers started to put traps on the vast plain and in the jungle.

Jin Sung had taught Ignacio all kinds of traps and in turn, Ignacio taught his soldiers to make them. the traps are fairly simple that mostly used in the Vietnam war like punji stick, the sharp sticks made out of bamboo or metal are jammed into camouflaged pits, the trap could be a one time use or multiple time uses where a door trap is placed, so when someone steps on the door trap the man will fall into the pit while the door trap automatically closing itself waiting for the next prey.

There's also a simple trap called cartridge trap or mostly known as toe-popper where a round is placed within a bamboo tube and over a nail, and then camouflaged with the tip protruding or covered by a thin layer of bamboo and dirt.

when an enemy steps on the cartridge the weight will push the bullet down hitting the nail, which will activate the bullet and wound the soldier.

other traps are also being made and placed, like the bamboo whip trap, grenade traps, bear trap, etc.

Jin Sung not only taught Ignacio how to make them but also how to utilize them effectively, Jin Sung knows that Azor is not a simple man because he is so infamous within and without the empire, Ignacio has told him about countless battles and war Azor have fought which tell Jin Sung about Azor Characteristic and strategy.

Jin Sung deduces that Azor is a charismatic, wise, and ambitious general. Jin Sung knows that this kind of enemy can't be fought with brute force alone, even though he is confident with his soldiers and technology he has to use strategy to gain certain victory or cut down casualties.

This is why Jin Sung told Ignacio to prepare for an ambush because Jin Sung knows that Azor will return for his victory.

Ignacio turn back and observed again the map that is set on the wall. "20.000 elite soldiers, this will not be as easy as fighting the novice unit send by Nova Vox City!"

suddenly there is a knocking sound of a door, Ignacio glance at the door, and returns to his seat."Come in!"

A man with a scratch mark on his face opens the door and enters the room with his eyes caged forward, he walks within two paces of the desk and salutes towards Ignacio."Sir, Sergeant Bob reports."

Ignacio glance at the man."What is it?" Ignacio had a quill in his hands and a paper on his desk.

Bob still in salute position because Ignacio doesn't return the salute but he still has his eyes caged forward and reply."Enemy scouts have been detected and captured, sir, some of them activate the trap we put this morning."

Ignacio's eyes locked on the paper and write as Bob reports to him."Interrogate them at the same time, ask the same question, and if their answers are different, torture them until they have the same answers, you can also bribe them with money or an artifact!" Ignacio stops writing and glance at Bob.

Bob still in saluted position and eyes caged forward."What if they keep having different answers, sir?"

"Kill Them"

"And don't be so formal in front of me didn't I tell you not to salute when nobody is around!"

Bob had a hard look on his face."I can't do that sir, that would be disrespectful."

"We've gone way back Bob, alright you can do whatever you like, if you need anything just tell me!"

Bob snap to attention."Yes sir!"
