What Was Your Wish?

Jin Sung pointed his obsidian blade to Rawlin."Me? I'm just a peasant," Jin Sung said.

Rawlin gritted his teeth in anger while his hand still had blood flowing out from its wound and dripping to the ground.

Melmidoc pointed his python-47 revolver and pulled the trigger.

Clang!

The bullet ricocheted against Jin Sung's suit with no visible damage.

Melmidoc was quite startled by the result."You have a strong defense," Melmidoc said before he took his bow from his back.

"Hey, hey put your bow down, it's my turn to test him!" Radolf took out his bow, aimed at Jin Sung before drawing his bow, and fired after an arrow materialized in his finger. The arrow flew straight to Jin Sung's chest and made him stumble back a few steps.

Jin Sung grimaced in pain, he didn't think the arrow was powerful so he did not dodge to test its power. Although there is no severe internal damage the arrow made his muscle a little sore.

"Shoot them!" Someone in the crowd shouted before everyone pulled the triggers and rained Rawlin, Melmidoc, and Radolf with bullets.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

The roar of gunfire reverberated as the crowd continuously fired their weapons at them.

Rawlin and the others gritted their teeth and crossed their arms to block their face while the rest of their body was filled with bullet holes and blood splashed out when bullets punched through their skin.

Leo on the other hand was laying on the ground unconscious, bullets whizzed above him yet he didn't seem to have a sign of waking up any time soon.

Rawlin dashed forward, he had enough of it and decided to m******e everyone in here, especially the man in a black suit, although he had to wait until everyone else was dead, Melmidoc and Radolf followed suit as they dashed in a different direction to kill their target.

Bullets punched through all of their body, but they ignored it as they stared at the enemy in front of them with gritted teeth and punched everyone they could in the face while dodging a few bullets that came in their way.

The three of them flashed around as they duck, jump, and roll all the while punching and kicking everyone in their path, the shooters were shocked and unable to shoot afraid of friendly fire, so they were quickly killed one by one. But Jin Sung couldn't let that happen, he dashed to Rawlin to fight him while he let the crowd take care of the others.

Rawlin roared and accepted the challenge as he dashed to Jin Sung with ferocity and anger, he was an irritable man, and that was a good thing for a body cultivator like him as it could increase his power significantly.

Jin Sung kept a calm mind as he dodged and slashed when Rawlin send him a punch, Rawlin's fist was like flashes of water as hundreds of after images enclosed him and Jin Sung was like a phantom as he effortlessly dodged them while taking his chance to slashed at Rawlin.

Jin Sung jumped backward to take a breath, dodging and slashing is a very stamina-consuming activity to do, not to mention his opponent was a superhuman compared to a normal human.

Rawlin stared at Jin Sung savagely, his eyes narrowed and Jin Sung could feel surmountable hatred in his eyes.

"I'm gonna eat you!" Rawlin roared before he dashed at Jin Sung.

Jin Sung was not flustered at all, Jumping to the side to dodge Rawlin's fist. He used his obsidian blade to slashed at Rawlin a few times before he ducked to dodge Rawlin's kick.

"You're not very fast do you?" Jin Sung mocked, although there is some truth in his words because compared to Brugdath this guy is much slower in speed.

Rawlin was angered by Jin Sung's remark that he increased his speed as his body flashed to attack Jin Sung."My strength is not in speed!" He leaped to Jin Sung before sending his fist towards him, Jin Sung turned to dodge and the fist hit the concrete floor-

Boom!

Jin Sung stumbled back a few steps as the ground shakes and crack with Rawlin's fist as its center. Jin Sung was startled by the vibration but he didn't put much thought into Rawlin's power because even he can do that much damage with his fist. That was what he thought until the whole building cracked, crumbled, and buried everyone inside.

Dust flew through the air as rubbles is the only thing that is left to be seen from the shooting range. It was wide and big as Jin Sung wanted people to come here often so he made it as big as possible, who would've thought it would be destroyed like this.

Crash!

A hand suddenly protruded out of the rubble before it punched the rubbles around it to reveal Jin Sung, he pushed himself off the rubble and stood up as he assessed his environment.

"This building was not cheap to build," Jin Sung sighed, thinking how much money he had to spend to rebuild it, since he had a war to fight most of the money he earned are used for the military and any accident or destruction that happen to the city will be troublesome as it could reduce the budget for the army.

"Maybe I should just conquer other cities instead," Jin Sung didn't want to be the enemy of the whole world of cultivation, he just wanted equality for all human beings, if he showed his power and easily conquered other cities, he didn't know how other kingdoms and nations would react. If they hold hands and decide to remove him then that would be the end, not to mention his victory against Aegexor was quite controversial already.

Crash! Crash! Crash!

Three pairs of hands jutted out from the ground before they sweep every rubble around them to reveal three muscled men. They have blood all over them like they were taking a bath with blood, bullet holes can be seen in pretty much every part of their body. But Rawlin has it worse, other than bullet holes, gashes, and slashed also decorated parts of his body, making him look like a man full of horrifying gashes.

The three of them stood up and assessed their environment before noticing Jin Sung. Jin Sung also noticed them as they stared at each other, shortly after-

Swish!

They all dashed like the wind, Jin Sung bravely moved forward fighting against the enemy alone, he was sure that they were at least the same level as Brugdath but even so he has to fight to reduce the casualties and damage to the city, if not his plan will have to take a step back.

Melmidoc and Radolf flanked Rawlin as they dashed towards Jin Sung.

Jin Sung was not afraid, he put his focus towards Rawlin because he was the one who had the most gruesome scar, and Jin Sung already knew his attack pattern. Jin Sung leaped through the air as he avoided their attacks, leaping again Jin Sung put some distance between them.

Rawlin and the others dashed and quickly surrounded Jin Sung, they took out a small pouch before they put their hand inside and pulled out a weapon. Rawlin had a longbow with blades on each end of the bow, Melmidoc had a small bow in his hand and Radolf had an iron Crossbow as his weapon.

Jin Sung raised his eyebrow but still had his guard up, he didn't know why these people would take out a bow in a close-range fight, shortly after his question was answered by rain of arrows. Their hands didn't seem to move at all as arrows after arrows shoot out from their bow like a machine gun.

Jin Sung twisted and turned his body to dodge as the arrows seemed to darken the sky, his figure continuously flashed as he thought of various ways to get out of this dire situation.

Bang!

Like an angel from heaven, a man suddenly plunged a hole into the arrows from the sky as the arrows were deflected from the shockwave of his landing. The man had a short stature yet stern and firm like a boulder. It was Brugdath who jumped high into the sky to save Jin Sung in distress with a signature landing of the mountain.

Brugdath had a smile on his face as the arrows continued to rain on them, yet he didn't seem to care before he took a step and punched forward with his right fist.

Boom!

A powerful shockwave burst forth from Brugdath as it sent a thousand arrows away, Brugdath took another step before he punched with his left hand and another shockwave burst forth to deflect thousands of arrows.

It was a spectacular sight for Jin Sung, he didn't think that his suit had that ability, I guess technology and Cultivation have their own advantages, he thought internally as he stared at deflected arrows.

He turned his head to look at Brugdath's back and couldn't help but feel that Brugdath was a lot taller than before.

"Haha, you boys need to return home and ask for milk from your mom because you are not strong enough to fight me!" Brugdath had his arms akimbo as he laughed.

"Brugdath, why are you protecting him?" Rawlin asked with gritted teeth.

Brugdath still had his arms akimbo and raised his eyebrow."The guy is my boss, of course, I have to protect him,"

"Your boss?" Melmidoc was confused, Brugdath was one of the great generals of the emperor, he was respected among the general and among his men, to think that such man said that he was a subordinate to the masked man, he couldn't believe it.

"Yes, he is my boss, now get your ass off from here!" Brugdath frowned as his face turned serious.

"Brugdath, are you betraying the emperor?" Radolf asked with a normal tone and with no sign of irritation or confusion on his face.

Brugdath sneered in disdain. "Betrayal? It was the emperor that betrayed me!" he shouted.

Radolf was startled, the emperor betrayed him? What does Brugdath mean."What do you mean Brugdath, the emperor gave you the highest position you could imagine how can you say such a thing?"

"The emperor promised me one wish when I claimed back one of his stolen cities, and when I asked him to grant my wish, he refused it, if that wasn't betrayal then what is?" Brugdath shouted.

Jin Sung stared at brugdath with wide eyes, he didn't know Brugdath was willing to join him for that reason. Jin Sung thought that Brugdath joined him because he wanted to be famous as a savior of ordinary people.

"What is it that you asked the emperor for?" Melmidoc was also curious as to why the emperor couldn't grant Brugdath his wish.
