After reading the description and the specification, Jin Sung scrolled down the tab intending to buy the armor, he saw a 'buy' button and clicked on it before he heard a 'ding' sound inside his head but sadly this sound made his excited face sad.

[Insufficient balance]

'Wait what? didn't I get a 1000 balance before? Why is it insufficient?'

Jin Sung started scrolling down the page, but what he saw scared him.

Price:10.000 balance

'10.000 balance? a whole 10k? 10 times of what I have right now?'

'You have got to be kidding then what is the use 1000 balance now, I thought 1000 balance will make me wealthy, apparently, it's just spare change, bah'

Thinking more about this just make Jin Sung sad, then a thought came to him, in order to survive in this world I have to depend on the system and so I would need its technology, so to summarize I need more balance so how do I get balance, looking at the screen in front of him Jin Sung thought to himself.

'System, how do I increase my Balance?' Jin Sung try asking the system

A look of realization and hope appear on Jin Sung's face

'Ahh, so that's how. So how does it work? Do I start lecturing in front of the screen to give knowledge or what?' Jin Sung asked the system.

[If the user would like to provide knowledge the user must write the knowledge on a book, the user has to point to the book and think 'system scan' the system will then start scanning the book that the user point, this will also work for multiple books or technology, the same knowledge or technology will not provide additional balance.]

[Please note the object must be at the maximum of 5m from the user before the system can scan the object.]

[Scanned object will not disappear, so the user need not worry.]

'So the system scans technology and knowledge?' Jin Sung thought

'If I scan a spirit artifact used by a cultivator will it work?' Jin Sung asked the system.

[Yes, the user can scan spirit artifact and any kind of knowledge to increase balance point]

'Ah, all right then I guess I should continue walking home before thinking about all this stuff'

Jin Sung slowly set off to his new home, on the journey he saw that the city was still alive and bustling even when the sky had turned dark. All kinds of stalls and vendors were set up around the city, this is where people are bargaining, shouting, and complaining about the price. There was an old lady Jin Sung saw who kept on rambling and nagging at the stall owners to give her a discount which would give the owner a bad time.

All in all, it's just like on earth where the night never dies, but it's surprising to see that in this world. Earth in ancient times is not as buzzing as this city, well except ancient Rome, there is a reason why a poet wrote "The laughter of the crowd passing by awakens me and all Rome is at my bedside."

Seeing this, Jin Sung's mood got better and better until he saw another stall.

The stall is not bad, compare to other stalls it is slightly worse but that's not the main issue, the main issue was that there was a guy with a cultivator robe pulling a little girl's hair in front of the stall, an old man is kowtowing beside him asking for forgiveness and mercy for his daughter.

He realized that with his current power he can't do anything to help the little girl and the old man, this is a dog eat dog world not modern earth, thinking about this Jin Sung could only hold his desire to help and walk away, the farther he walks away from the stall the louder the screaming of the girl asking for help and the louder the voice of the old man asking for forgiveness and mercy, the louder they scream and beg, the harder Jin Sung gritted his teeth.

Jin Sung continued his step with his head down, he was feeling sad and angry that he couldn't do anything to help them. I'm too weak, he thought before he arrived at his destination. Jin Sung glanced at the shabby wooden house. This was his predecessor's home, he didn't feel surprised or unfamiliar with it, maybe that's because Jin Sung got some memory from the real body and integrated it with his real memory. Because of that Jin Sung knew quite a lot about this world and about this body, Jin Sung, 18 years old. It was a startling coincidence that this body has the same name as him but he couldn't be any more shocked when he searched through the memory and found the cause of this body's parent's death. "brother, you finally came back home, did you bring food? Shi'er is hungry!"

Shi'er showed her little tummy and a growling noise can be heard from it

Seeing this Jin Sung started laughing, who wouldn't laugh if they saw such a sight.

seeing her brother laughing until his stomach hurt, Shi'er pouted and frowned.

"brother!, Shi'er is hungry, why are you laughing?!'

When Jin Sung saw this he held his laughter back and apologized.

"Ah, sorry Shi'er, I can't help it." Jin Sung apologized while trying hard to hold back his laughter.

"Hmph, brother always likes to tease Shi'er!" Shi Sung looks away with a pout.

"Alright, forgive this big brother of yours alright, here have some food!" Jin Sung take a pouch from his pocket and give it to Shi'er

Shi Sung took the pouch excitedly, the pouch is as small as Jin Sung's hand so when Shi Sung took it, it looked big in her hands. Seeing this, a look of bafflement appears on Shi Sung's face.

"Brother, why is the pouch so small? What kind of food can this small pouch contain? won't Shi'er starve to death with only this?!"

"Ah inside the pouch is a sweet candy, I thought you would like it so I bought it!"

Hearing this Shi Sung's eyes started glowing with radiance, she looked at the pouch and her eyes glowed brighter, like a pirate seeing a treasure chest, Shi'er hurriedly opened the pouch.

When the pouch is opened, a radiant glowing light came out of it, the light forced the brother and sister to close their eyes, after a few moments the light becomes dimmer and dimmer until it's gone.

With a surprised look, Shi'er looks at her brother only to see her brother have the same expression as her.

"Brother, what kind of candy did you buy for Shi'er?!" even though she saw the surprised look on her brother's face, she still tried to ask.

Hearing his sister's question, Jin Sung's mind starts working at a supersonic speed, thinking of various excuses to fool her, then thought quickly comes to Jin Sung.

"The candy store owner said it's a magical candy, it's a new product so I buy it for you!" Jin Sung said with a calm face completely contrary to the expression he showed before.

Of course, it's a lie, Jin Sung stole this pouch from the three bald cultivators, it's a condensed nutrition pill so the cultivator doesn't have to eat for days, and of course, it is not cheap for ordinary people especially for poor people like Jin Sung's family

Seeing her brother's calm face, Shi'er believed him, then she peeked inside the pouch and took a candy with her 2 small fingers.

The candy is round with various colors like blue, pink, yellow, and green. The size of the candy is very small, seeing that the candy is so small and feeling like one candy is unable to satisfy her, Shi Sung put her hand inside the pouch and grabbed a handful of candy.

Seemingly satisfied with the amount she got with 1 hand, Shi Sung put all the candy inside her mouth, with a cheerful face she started chewing the pill but then her cheerful expression turned into a frown. That's because the candy is not sweet but spicy.

As she was about to ask her brother where he got duped, her body started glowing and she can't control her body, she then started floating with her eyes glowing like a celestial being, dirt, dust, and filth is being cleansed in the process,

Shi Sung was a cute little girl, with short blonde hair that only reached her shoulder. Her mother always bought her a beautiful dress even though their parents don't have a lot of money.

She wore a pink, red, blue children's robe with a flower symbol on it. Even though she wore a beautiful dress, she doesn't look as beautiful as before because their parents didn't take care of her anymore.

But now with all the filth gone, She looked beautiful once again, after floating and glowing for a moment, Shi Sung's body started to land and the light emitted from her body got dimmer and dimmer, until it all vanished.

Seeing this Jin Sung let out a sigh of relief, he didn't expect the nutrition pill is able to make her body float and glow, but what he saw next makes his heart skip a beat, and stared with wide-open eyes.
