Xiangwei City!

A strong and rugged hand caressed the slightly spongy surface map, the map was so wide and big that it took an entire wall just to set it. Its detail was pinpoint and had all the information needed such as landscape features, cities, villages, and important properties of various powers. He brought his face closer to the map, an animal smell entered his nose as he stared towards a little city sketched on the vellum. "Xiangwei City! It was a mistake to test a foreign system in our kingdom, now look at what it brought us," Krozor frowned as he viciously stared at the city. "It was, but we're not here to recall the past, we're here to eliminate the enemy!" Rigast lifted his fat belly as he loosened his leather belt for comfort. Krozor's earrings ring as he glanced at the fat short man."It was your suggestion to the emperor that led us to this predicament!" "If you do not have the interest to discuss then leave!" Rigast did not like it when someone blamed him. "I think you should be the one who leaves, your fat belly is distracting me!" Krozor was irritated by Rigast's attitude towards him. "Then stop looking at my belly, and filled that thin body of yours with food!" Rigast glared at Krozor, he did not want to lose in an argument against him. Krozor glared back, he gritted his teeth in irritation."You fa-" "Enough!" A sudden soft feminine voice cut off their conversation. They slowly turned their head to glance at the source of the voice. It was a woman with light blue hair, a slim, petite figure. She looked rather plain because of the dull grey robe that covered her body, if she sat down in the street with that clothes, she would be mistaken as a beggar, but if someone takes a closer look at her pale and unblemished appearance, they would know that she was not an ordinary person. "The rebel forces have been disrupting trades within the kingdom while enriching themself with our goods. Listen to my order! Destroy them!" Monora slid her head down after that sentence, it felt like it wasn't Monora who said those words but someone else. Krozor and Rigast bowed with respect."Yes, your majesty!" They both glanced towards the map to observe its content. Krozor had his eyes fixed at the map, with his hands clasped behind his back "How many men can we move?" "80,000 Qi Refining Peak stages, 15,000 Foundation Building Low stages, 5,000 Foundation Building Middle Stages, 8 Foundation Building Peak stages," Rigast said directly while his eyes were fixed on the map. "It's a lot less than it used to," Krozor's eyes narrowed. Rigast turned to sit on his desk, placed on top of it is a stack of paper and a quill with a bottle of ink."We're fighting a rebel force after all, if the emperor did not wary of BrinePort's involvement he would have cut down the numbers," "Hm, I heard they have powerful artifacts and can turn invisible," Krozor glanced at Rigast."I think we should only send 8 Foundation Building Peak stages and let them clear the rebel forces once and for all!" Rigast ruminated as he stared towards the map from his desk, after a while, he leaned on his chair."That is a wise move, then we should send the rest to BrinePort City!" Krozor raised his eyebrow, curious of Rigast's intention."We don't have proof of BrinePort's involvement, sending troops to them would only mean we declare war," Rigast chuckled."What do you mean by that, we only send troops to them so we can introduce our new soldiers, after all, BrinePort is a city under Theulux Empire," Rigast had a sharp gleam in his eyes as he exclaimed, he was disgusted by the lord of BrinePort and the rebel forces, why did they choose to revolt if they can join the emperor to strengthen the nation, if they do that, then the emperor could take back his cities from other kingdoms, especially the lord of BrinePort, that ungrateful boy dares to have an idea of revolting after having a good general under his arm. I will not give them the chance to capitulate, he thought as his gaze drifted to the map, it was a prosperous city located by the ocean. He brushed his short black hair as he held the urge to grab and pull his hair in frustration. Rigast shook his head and turned away from the map, the room was eerily quiet with no one or anything to break the silence. That was until Krozor decided to speak."You have a good idea, let's do as you said!" Krozor ran his fingers through his grey strands of beard amidst his musings, he turned his head away from the map to look at Rigast who had bloodshot eyes as he was frustrated by all the rebels he had to kill. "How strong is BrinePort compared to us?" Krozor said after a moment. "If you want to, I can help you obliterate BrinePort but there must be proof of BrinePort's rebellion!" He said the last with a reassuring smile. Rigast raised his head then, looking toward krozor. His bloodshot eyes had slowly turned to normal. Krozor felt relief, this friend of his was quite sensitive to traitor, even the mention of a traitor could make his eyes red. *** The street of the city below looked like a busy ant nest from the hill Rogerious stood, people were constantly moving here and there with a weird-looking stick on their back strapped around their shoulder and waist, it was bustling and lively as the commotion of the people reached Rogerious, but something that caught his attention is a huge tall building amidst the countless tall pagoda, the building had so many windows and it was twice as taller than the pagoda, he can also see a balcony on top of the building as people leaned on the fence to enjoy the view. Rogerious narrowed his eyes as his black pupil turned into gold, he peered through the windows of the building, where he can see people relaxing in their living room or having lunch with their family. "What in the world?" Rogerious almost couldn't believe his own eyes, inside every window are people who leisurely enjoyed their time. That thing is a house? He thought. He had never seen such a building in his lifetime nor did he thought it was possible to build that without expensive material. His eyes turned normal as he flicked his gaze to other places, everywhere he glanced he could see people, tall buildings, there also seemed to be a public park, it was wide as a walk path circled around it and the rest were mostly filled with grasses, flowers, and plants. In the middle of the park is a big fountain with seraphic woman statues pouring an infinite amount of water from her jar. The city was bereft of unpleasant sight, whether it was the buildings, the people all seemed to be a sign of a prosperous city. Suddenly there was a sound of footsteps behind Rogerious, he turned around to see a young woman, the woman had blue sky hair gently hanged over a fine pale face, she was petite and delicate with white smooth skin, she looked like a girl who always hid under the sun and never took a manual work, but believe or not she was a body cultivator, a strong one at that. "What do you see Regerious?" Edolina raised her eyebrows as she twisted a strand of her hair. Rogerious let out an exasperated sigh."It's Rogerious," Rogerious almost did not want to bother saying his name again, how many times does this girl forget about his name. Edolina blushed."S...sorry," she was embarrassed and guilty that she kept forgetting his name, luckily Rogerious was a kind man. "It's fine, you can call me what you want. So you want to know what I see?" Rogerious glanced towards Edolina to which she eagerly nodded twice."Well..." Rogerious patiently explained what he saw to Edolina, and she would nod quietly after every sentence. "Can we win?" She asked as she twisted her hair. "What do you mean by that? We haven't even seen their soldiers yet," Rogerious Didn't know what led Edolina to think that way. "I heard the soldiers of the rebel forces always bring a weird stick with them, they say it can shoot a projectile that could kill cultivators," Edolina said softly. "So?" Rogerious asked quickly "You said that everyone in the city brings a weird stick with them, didn't that mean the entire population of the city is the enemy?" Edolina responded in a moment. Rogerious turned his head with his mouth slightly open and his eyes stared towards the city with wide eyes. The whole city is the enemy? How many people are there that are currently residing in the city? He was informed that there were 14 thousand people that resided in the city but after what he saw with his own eyes, he couldn't believe it was 14 thousand anymore. There are tall pagodas everywhere, even outside the walls of the city. How many people can it accommodate, he didn't know, but he could guess that there are around 56 thousand people that are residing in the city. They were told to destroy the rebel forces with only 8 Foundation Building Peak stages cultivators, at first he thought that it was more than enough to cleanse the rebel forces, but now he felt it was not. "Where are the others? We need to discuss our next moves," Rogerious bit his lip, turned his head, then glanced at Edolina. "T...They said they are going to enter the city," Edolina stuttered when he saw Rogerious's complexion. She was quite scared as Rogerious usually has a laid-back attitude. Rogerious dashed and grab Edolina's shoulder as he stared intently at her."They are going inside the enemy's nest, we need to bring them back!"
