Chapter 3 Break Your Hand

"Hi, Karen." "Carter, why are you here?" Lucas greeted politely. "Have you divorced Stella?" Karen asked aggressively. "Yes." Lucas forced a smile. "But it was my fault. Don't blame her." After all, they were once a couple. They might meet in the future. Lucas didn't want to be too awkward with the Harper family. But he didn't expect to be accused by Karen harshly. "Of course I know it's your fault. You crap!" "You must have done something wrong to her, otherwise, how could my daughter divorce you?" Lucas was slightly stunned. In the past three years, he had heard many similar words in the Harper family. But he had endured all of them because of Stella. However, now there was no need anymore. "Karen, you're over the line." "Stella..." Lucas hesitated for a moment, then changed his words coldly. "Most of what the Harper family owns now is from me." That was true. In the three years, Only Harry's Continental Chamber had given the Harper family contracts worth five billion dollars. It was with these contracts that Stella became a famous female entrepreneur in Flandesburg. "What's the f**k?!" When Karen heard this, she cursed fiercely. "Lucas, don't you feel ashamed when you say that?" "My daughter has worked so hard to become a famous female entrepreneur in Flandesburg at a young age!" "Not only that..." As Karen spoke, she proudly puffed out her chest. "Stella has gained the favor of the Adams Group. She's going to participate in the investment event held by Ms. Adams, the most prestigious commercial queen in Flandesburg." "Once she receives investment from the Adams family, her future will be even brighter!" Karen pointed at Lucas, almost touching his face. "But you're just a crap who relied on sweet talk to marry Stella and survive." "How can you be so shameless to say that everything the Harper family has now is from you?" "Don't you fear being laughed at?" Lucas heard Karen's cynicism and felt a headache. He rubbed his forehead and said, "Karen, I got to go." Then he turned and wanted to leave. "Stop, did I let you leave?" Karen stopped Lucas. "We came to you today for only one thing!" "We want to see if you took anything from the Harper family!" Carter said impatiently, "Mom, don't waste time with him." He turned his head to look at Lucas coldly and said, "Give me the money and get out of here!" "You won't be allowed to show up in any place of the Harper family!" "I took nothing from the Harper family," Lucas said expressionlessly. "Hmph!" Carter sneered, "Lucas, I know my sister gave you five million dollars for breakup." Lucas remembered that, "Oh, I didn't take that." "Really?"Carter coldly asked. "Others might believe you, but I don't believe a single word that comes out of your mouth!" Carter chuckled and repeatedly fidgeted his legs, "That's five million!" "It's money that you, a househusband, couldn't earn in ten lifetimes!" "Don't you want it?" Karen agreed. "Exactly!" "Lucas, give it to us!" Lucas sighed helplessly and didn't want to continue arguing with them, "If you don't believe me, you can frisk me." "Oh." "I didn't expect you to let me do that?" Carter said as he walked towards Lucas and moved his hand into his pocket. Karen said, "Carter, search carefully!" "The money Stella gave him must be a Flandesburg Bank card!" Carter said while frisking, "Once I find it, you're done!" Just as he finished speaking, Carter got excited. Carter dropped a black bank card in front of Lucas. "Lucas!" "You can't get away with it." Carter pointed at the bank card on the ground. Karen sneered and raised her voice, "Lucas, I used to think highly of you." "I thought you had integrity and didn't take money from my family." "But it turns out you don't deserve it." Lucas froze and looked down: "Karen, are you sure it's a Flandesburg Bank card?" Karen sneered. “Of course, it's a Flandesburg Bank card." Carter laughed and picked up the bank card on the ground. He was suddenly stunned. The bank card was black. The head of the knight is in the center of the card, gleaming with bronze. "Centurion brass card?" Carter was astonished. It was a souvenir card that Citibank, one of the world's top banks, issued to its honored guests. Verification qualifications were stringent. Even if the centurion brass card was at the lowest level, its owner must be worth at least 50 billion dollars. And the Silver Card was for those top-level rich men and political elites. In short, the Harper family could not possess such a prestigious item. "The Centurion Bank Card?" "How could a crap like you have it?" Carter couldn't believe it. "The Centurion card can be only owned by the powerful and wealthy men around the world." Karen didn't look down to see it, and she was very dismissive. "Even the lowest Brass Card, there are no more than three people in the Flandesburg who possess it." "How can a crap have that?" Karen finally looked down at it. She saw the black bank card, with the knight's head flashing a bronze-colored radiance on it. It was extraordinary. "God. It's a real Centurion card." Karen's face changed. "I've told you many times, I have never taken a penny from your family." Lucas bent down and picked up the Centurion Bank Card without expression. "Wait!" Karen shouted harshly. At the same time, she raised her hand to slap Lucas. But before she slapped, Lucas grabbed her wrist. "What do you want to do?" Lucas asked coldly. Karen was startled. She felt a little scared. Then she started to wonder, how was she scared by a crap? When Karen recovered, she broke free from Lucas's grip and glared at him. "Is this your bank card?" Lucas almost laughed out loud, "If it's not mine, could it be yours?" Karen laughed as if she had heard the funniest joke in the world. "Hey, a crap claimed that the luxury Centurion Bank Card is his." "Who would believe that?" Carter also laughed contemptuously. He walked to Karen's side and said, "Mom, could this be a gift from Mr. Smith to my sister?" "And Stella gave it to Lucas." Karen got excited and exclaimed, "Mr. Smith gave such valuable stuff to Stella!" Then she said harshly, "Stella doesn't know its value, and gave it to Lucas!" Karen looked sinister and said viciously, "Lucas, give back Mr. Smith's Centurion Bank Card!" "If you dare to get it dirty, Mr. Smith will break your hand!"
