The way to Wakiwendi State

From nowhere they saw Benoe coming, walking slowly and got tired. Benoe was very tired due to a long ran and hungry. He looked very weak. Lording and Kipanya ran fast and assisted him to walk. Benoe didn't able to talk due to his weaknesses. They took under a tree and then lay down. Benoe rested a short. Kaboo took those fruits spare. They gave and he ate.

One Gorilla ran faster to fetch water. In a short time that Gorilla returned with water. He got in a small coconut core. Benoe drank that water and got more resting for a time. The travel stopped in that place. They were waiting for Benoe recovery. That day passed and the darkness came up. Benoe didn't recover to his strength. They continued waiting until morning. Benoe didn't recover again. Yopeng was out of that place. He was rounding in the forest searching for natural drugs that could cure Benoe from too many weaknesses.

In searching Yopeng saw one stone on top covered with fresh water on its top space. That water was stagnant. Yopeng took it on a leave and came back. Yopeng gave that water Benoe and he drank it. After a short time, got his first cough and his hands fingers started shaking.

They shocked all, what kind of that was. Lording thanked to Yopeng. Benoe opened his eyes and he woke up. Benoe felt hungry and thirsty. Kipanya gave that spare food and water. Benoe ate fast and finished all. He thanked to all those were here. Kaboo begged Benoe to get more resting until his full recovery. He got resting until evening. Benoe woke up and stood stable.

Lording asked Benoe;

“What happened in that day in Misitu State. And where others are they?”

Benoe replied;

“Listen my fellow friends, that day King Oahu, King Oahu and King Dulu came to us with a large group of army. They were looking for Lording. King Misitu told them that, you were not there. But they didn't accept. King Oahu ordered the start of fighting. We didn't surrender easily. We fought against them. But they were of large number. King Misitu collected all left soldiers and entered in a State house. Misitu shut all doors and windows. But he heard the announcement of firing that house. They spilled oils around the house.”

“King Misitu opened the trench in his secret room and all entered in that trench. He shut the door of that trench. Misitu ordered the underground walking. We travelled through that trench fast and got out of that trench. When we tried to run from that area, Makitanga army caught us and arrested to the King Kitanga. But me after reaching there I escaped those soldiers and ran away from Makitanga Empire. That is all happened in that day." "Do you want to say my mom Tegome is caught by King Kitanga?”

Lording asked. Benoe replied;

“Yes, I left her in Makitanga Empire.” Lording shocked at great.

Benoe suggested;

“On my think, it is not wise to go fast. We have to settle down and plan the good ways and techniques. And I believe nothing would be harm to Tegome and Misitu. Only important thing is find the Meghan dagger and prepare well before going in Makitanga Empire. As we know Makitanga Empire is a well defined state in the issues of security. What could favor as is our tolerance. If we will obtain that dagger on our hands, it will help us to obtain those powerful Meghan weapons. After that we can fight against Makitanga Empire." "How we could get the Meghan dagger from King Oahu.” Lording quested.

Kipanya replied;

“We have to attack Dulu State and defeat all King Oahu and King Dulu at the same time but before that we have to prepare and enlarge our army. We have to go there in East of Meghan along Lake Nika. We have to find those Hunters and Blacksmiths. We will enlarge our army in order to defeat effectively our opposition.” All accepted that idea.

They started preparing for the journey on next day. Benoe and Lording didn't sleep for the whole night until morning. The Gorilla as usual at early morning went in the forest searching for fruits and tree roots as foods. Some Gorilla fetched water. All Gorillas returned with many fruits and tree roots for food. They called all here around and started eating. They ate to full and stored left fruits and roots as spare. They started traveling to East Meghan along Lake Nika. They passed many mountains and small rivers without arriving. They increased the speed so that they may reach early before evening. It was a very long travel. It was evening and then sunset. They were on the peak of one hill.

They saw in front of them a large stonework machinery field. Many Blacksmiths were busy forging arrows and bows. In another side, they saw people making only war swords. To every corner around those forging fields, there were many security guards.

Lording asked leader Lima;

“What is that State? I think it is well defined State.”

Lima replied “Yeah! It is a well defined State rather than others. It is a separated State from Meghan. This State is out of quarrels. They live a specific life that they want. As you have seen the way they work together and uniform.”

 Lording asked about the name of that State and leader Lima answered;

“This State is called Wakawendi . The meaning of that name is society made by Blacksmiths and Hunters only.”

Lording smiled and replied; “Wow it is a very nice name.”

According to the traditional rules and norms of those societies; the visitors cannot enter any State during evening and or night but they have a permit during a day.

Benoe told Lording;

“Listen my friend; I heard as a story about that Wakawendi societies. My dad told me that if you will need to enter in this State you would enter during a day and not evening or night. We can't enter during dark, so we have to wait here until tomorrow morning. That is what I think!”

Kipanya added some words;

“You are right Benoe! That is what I thought also. Traditional norms and rules never wrong. We shall wait here until morning. For now, we have to camp here till morning.”

Lording accepted the idea of his friends. They started preparing for camping.

At night all slept and doze off except Lording and Kipanya. They started talking slowly.

Kipanya told Lording;

“Do you know that you are a brilliant hero to us? You made us feel hopeful and happy. All Bilikimo sing about you. They felt proud to obtain you as their King. From the first day they saw you and keep you as a King up to now. No one feel sorry for that decision to keep you our leader.”

Lording also spoke;

“Even me! I don't know how I have succeeded to like that but more thanks to you; Bilikimo, Gorilla and Misitu. You made me aware and defined. I didn't know anything before. Hey please! Do you know the name of Wakawendi State leader?”

Benoe didn't doze off but he slept and shut only the eyes. All other sense organs were active except the eyes. They continued with their conversations.

Kipanya answered; “The ruler of Wakawendi State I'd King Kawendi. He is a son of late General Siso. Interpersonally King Kawendi is generous, kind and wise. King Kawendi knows that one day he will become one of the heroes of Meghan but he lost support. If he will get you, King Kawendi must feel as a special one.”

Lording clapped hands and said;

“Hey! You're talking with no dot, let me talk also.”

“Ooh! Sorry Lording.” Kipanya ceased.

Lording quested again;

“You had said that if I will reach there, they could determine me as a true ruler of Meghan. But how could be?”

Kipanya said “As we done us to obtain you. First, it is the symbol of porcupine head on your left shoulder. And secondly, they will nail you a porcupine nail by using a special bow. If you will lose strength and power; they will confirm you as a true ruler of Meghan. Thus, it is possible as we think here.”

All the words heard by Benoe and got awareness about the terribleness of Lording. Kipanya also told Lording one ancient story about African frogs. He started talking;

“My friend there is a story about our frogs in these Meghan. For now there are two categories of frogs according to their habitats. The terrestrial frogs that live on lands and Aquatic frogs that live in water only.”

“Do you know what happened in the past for this different?”

Lording surprised and replied; “No, it is a new story to me. Tell me why?”

Kipanya continued;

“In past all frogs lived on the same habitat which is Aquatic. For the first, all water covered with snow. It was not normal to them to experience this life. They escaped from those environments and lived on land. Many years passed. That snow melted and remained as normal water. They settled down to discuss about it. No one agreed to return in water again. Days passed also. They decided again to discuss about the same agenda.”

“One old frog said that; my friends, in many years of living I have obtained one thing. The hoe is very heavy. All frogs came against and asked; don't be a liar. How you obtained it. Do you have carried it? Or on how you obtained it?”

 “That frog replied; one peasant carried it and stepped on my rear. Up to now my back bone had broken. I can't jump more. From now I'm returning in aquatic life. It is our better habitat.”

“They laughed a lot. That is a reason why there are two categories of frogs in Africa.”

Lording laughed also. The same as to Benoe. Kipanya told Lording;

“Don't laugh! Do you know the meaning of my story?”

Lording replied; “No! It is only a story.”

“I will tell you the meaning of my story. I beg you to rest. It is enough.” Kipanya talked.

A short quiet took place and they rested. After a time Kipanya got sleep and doze off but Lording was still active. He thought about that story but he didn't know its meaning. He dozes off also. In early morning Gorilla went into nearby forest to find fruits and tree roots and some of them fetched water. They came with those fruits and tree roots. All started eating and drinking to enough. The journey started again walking towards the state House of Wakiwendi.

All Gorilla left in a nearby forest. They didn't go together with Lording because the hunters we're in quarrel with the Gorilla. They reached in Wakiwendi State entrance and asked for a permit to enter. One security guard shot an arrow carrying a request of a permit to new visitors directly to King Kawendi's room. King Kawendi got it and also he shot back an arrow of permit to new visitors. Security guards got it and allowed Lording with his crew to enter. They arrived in spacious place of conferences. It was a special place whereby new visitors must introduce themselves.

King Kawendi was out waiting the visitors. Lording with his crew nodded their heads down as a sign of respect to King Kawendi.
