KATHERINE POV. The next day, I arrived at the office with William as usual. He parked the car, and I thanked him before stepping out. He smiled and told me to have a good day, and I forced a smile back. My mind was still on last night’s argument with Adrian, and I couldn’t shake the feeling of his anger, his frustration. I had tried to push it out of my mind, but it kept creeping back in. As I walked into the building, I headed straight for the elevator.
