Adrian’s POV. I stood frozen, my chest was tight as my father’s voice filled the room. The security officer had just informed him that the press was waiting, and now Katherine was about to be thrown to the wolves. I could barely look at her. She didn’t deserve this. None of it. “Katherine,” my father’s voice cut like a blade, sharp and cold. “Remember what I told you. Say anything else, and you’ll regret it.” She nodded, her face pale, her eyes hollow. My heart sank. She was going to lie, to say things that weren’t true, and it was all my fault.
