Mia. Midnight—that’s the time I get back to Brad’s after confronting Anna and giving Damon the papers. I just needed to clear my head, so I drove for a while. Past houses decorated with Christmas lights and glowing ornaments, trying to force myself into the Christmas spirit—something I haven’t felt at all this year. Nothing worked. In the end, I stopped at my mother’s to grab the things I would need before heading back to Brad’s. When I step inside, the temperature change hits me instantly.
