Chapter 19 Burning Lights The trickling light from the sun over the treetops was nothing compared to the light that erupted around her. Kinza couldn’t hear anything but felt herself scream, in rage and in pain. A sonic boom ripped through the clearing in one heartbeat leaving behind a sound so loud she thought the atoms in her body would break apart. She didn’t realize when she stopped screaming. The light faded before the sound did; it held like a single note being played by a god, rippling through the air. It sent birds all throughout the forest bursting into the sky in a cloud of feathers.
