It was late at night when Linden returned to Crest Manor.
"Did you go out again?" Lisa grumbled as she pushed her meal to the other side of the table. The meal which Linden had left for her. "I thought I told you this afternoon that it is dangerous outside? Stop messing around," she nagged.
"I didn't have anything to do, so I went for a walk. There is no need for you to be so worried."
Linden was aware of his aunt's concern for him.
"Don't assume I'm clueless! Are you seeing someone?" Aunt Lisa seemed to know everything, and her suspicion nearly caused Linden to trip on his way to his room. His aunt's imagination was out of control.
