That's when I startled awake out of the dream by the blare of my alarm. I cursed at myself and got up. I quickly changed into my blue faded jeans, a lacy white tank top, a black and white flannel, with my horseshoe earrings, necklace, ring, bracelet, with my black cowboy boots with my hair curled in slight waves, with very little makeup just a bit of light brown eye shadow and mascara.
I headed downstairs and seeing my dad. "Good morning dad." Telling my dad letting my accent fly free and offering him a smile.
He looked at me and gave a chuckle. "Good morning, Sophia. I was wondering when your southern flair would come back out."
I gave a mock look. "What I wanted to get back to my southern roots."
He responded. "I'm not shocked, you look good as you did when you were younger. Let me guess your gonna see Jasmine sometime?"
I rolled my eyes. "Of course I'm gonna see my baby. After school, I will send you a text." I said picking up my new backpack.
As I was walking out the door he hollered "Alright, have a good day."
Today it was a cloudy day but then there was no rain and I started walking the fifteen-minute walk to school, I put in my headphones hit repeat and put on "Little Toy Gun." Getting lost in the music and didn't realize that I was already at school.
I took out my headphones walking over to Eric's car seeing Eric, Angel, Micheal, and Jessica. I spoke with my natural accent and gave a warm smile. "Hey, you guys."
Angel looked over with shock. "Hey Sophia, you look really good love the new look." Everyone agreed while Jessica looked jealous.
"Thanks." I did a little twirl. "I'm missed my southern touch."
Jessica hit a nerve. "Oh really, how does you Mr. Perfect like your new look huh? He's gonna be pissed cause your not his little perfect Sophia anymore."
My accent became more pronounced. "Brandon is gone. He told me he didn't love me, and I'm over him. I can wear what I want. Now f**k off, I know your jealous that you can't pull off my style better than me."
Jessica starts throwing daggers at me. "At least I know I can keep a guy and have him love me."
I clenched my fist and fought the urge to punch her in the nose. Then I thought and threw at her. "At least I know that I can have a job, earn the money, and go get my own stuff and not baby off my daddies credit card and act like a spoiled ass b***h. Oh, wait that's exactly what you are doing and who you are. I know I can get a really hot guy and keep a relationship." I said with a smirk I could practically see the smoke coming out of her ears.
Everyone took a step back when she tried to punch me, I swiftly caught it twisting her arm around her back. I went next to her ear whispering with a threatening edge to my voice egging her on. "Ya wanna try that again?" I let her go making her stumble to the ground. "Now off you go little crybaby."
She got up and ran off. Eric walked up and patted my shoulder and praised. "That was so awesome you put her in place so quickly. Also, I'm sorry about the other thing, how are you doing?"
I sighed. "Not that well, I am just sad everyone left without telling me even goodbye." Angel quickly came up to me and gave me a big hug. "Thanks, Angel."
She pulled away and gave me a sad smile. "You know I am always here." I nodded.
After a long day of school, I sent a text to my dad. Eric gave me a lift to the stables and I immediately found Jasmine. I washed her off and brushed her, then gave her some apples and carrots. I put on my black saddle and mounted.
"You ready girly?" She nayed in response and we took off. We started heading down the roads and somehow unknowingly I ended up in front of the Anderson's residents...
