CHAPTER FORTY-FOUR The Test“I need to speak to my husband.” Sweat dotted Annalise’s forehead as Hana joined her on the balcony flanked by two of the waiters. Annalise dabbed her face with a towel and gave her opponent a sharp nod. He bowed and moved away backwards, spinning on his heel to enter the house through a doorway further along the deck. “He knows you’re safe.” The towel slipped from her fingers with ease and slumped on the wooden slats. She didn’t give it another glance. Hana’s eyes narrowed at the overt display of arrogance and her jaw tightened. “I speak to him every day,” she replied. “He’ll know something is wrong if I don’t call him today.
