Unresolved“I didn’t invite Che to the hotel,” Logan replied. He ran a hand over his eyes. “He invited himself.” His eyes narrowed. “As usual, he took ages to get to the point. He wanted drinks and food and all the formal stuff he loves. Wiri called right as he started saying something important. I just left, Hana. It took him by surprise, so he didn’t have time to send one of his guys with me. When I got back to the hotel, he was waiting. I took you upstairs to Alfred’s apartment and Leslie patched your face. She said you were concussed, but you went nuts when she tried to call Dr Seuli.”
Hana shuddered. “I have no memory of that, but I’m glad my subconscious self stopped her calling him. I’d find myself in the bed next to Anahera. He’d enjoy that little victory.”
