The Orphaned CalfHana checked her watch and directed Logan towards Mac’s nursery. He drove the mountain roads with expertise and familiarity, allowing her to relax enough to broach her latest issue. “Do you think I’m a hypocrite?” Her question startled Logan and his face creased into a mask of confusion.
“No. Why?”
Hana exhaled. “What if you knew someone was having an affair but rationalised that it was okay because it didn’t affect you? Then you realised you knew both the people having the affair and it really mattered. Is that hypocritical?”
Logan swallowed and had more difficulty with the question than Hana anticipated. “I don’t know, Hana. That’s a messed-up question and I can’t answer it.” His words emerged as a growl.
