“Bella?” Sage stared with wide eyes the moment she opened the door.
“You aren’t with any of your toy guys, are you?”
“Nu……no…, but what are you doing here?” She asked.
“Thank Goodness,” I mumbled, pushing her out of the way as I made my way in with my overnight bag.
I dumped the bag on the floor, took off my jacket, and then crashed on the couch.
“Well, good to see you too. It just didn’t cross my mind that you would be coming over tonight.”
“It’s fine. I won’t disturb you. I just need a place to lay my head.” I reached for the throw pillow and hugged it. Sage’s house was similar to mine. Mine was just bigger.
“No, that's not what I mean. Of course, you are welcome to live here if you want. Or is Dave still after you?”
