Mr. Artisman greeted her as she entered the pet store. “Welcome Ms. how may I help you? Mr. Artisman greeted her with a thick Italian accent. She told him that she was looking for some kitten chow. He took her to aisle 7 where the cat food was kept. He showed her personally where the different ones were. “There’s canned food, dry food and milk for kittens. “What especifically are you looking for? He asked.
“I really don’t know. This is my first kitten. And she’s quite tiny yet.” She stated honestly. “Very good, very good. Maybe, I make a little suggestion?” He asked. He suggested some kitten milk formula with kitty kibble. He suggested two kinds of food and milk from the Go Cat brand of Kitten Chow.
She bought what he suggested and thanked them both for their help. “Please come again soon.” Mr. Artisman said. “I certainly will.” Aurora said decidedly. She stopped back in at the market and bumped into her best friend, Georgianna. “Hi, how’s your latest project coming along?’ “Slowly.” Aurora said rolling her eyes. She was a tad impatient to get back to her charge.
Georgianna hadn’t noticed. She was too busy talking about next trip with her parents to see some of the museums and things. Georgie hadn’t traveled much in her 24 years. And she was excited about it and anticipated it every year. Aurora pretended to be interested and told her about the dinner Gala that she was supposed to attend.
She didn’t want to go and she was expected to bring a plus one. She hadn’t intended to ask Georgie to go, but she accepted before Aurora could retract her invite. So she just let it be. She said it was tomorrow night and that they would have to wear black tie.
“Well, what are we waiting for?” She took Aurora’s arm, swung her around and they headed out of the market without another word. They walked for some time, then they came to Dress 2 Party Boutique. Georgie whisked her inside and took her things and set them down and pushed her to the fitting room. “I’ll choose something fabulous for you.” Aurora blushed and started to protest. But Georgie wouldn’t hear of it.
Georgie was going to make best friend look like the knock out that she knew she was. Her trip wasn’t for another month and her mama had been nagging her to find a man. She wasn’t going to be the only one who was dressed for to kill tomorrow night.
