Chapter two

421 Words
Levi As lunch rolls around both my history and math classes went quite as i had expected it to for being the new kid in school. Introductions, awkward curious stares and whispers. The basics. "Hey Levi! Wait up!" I hear a voice from behind as I head to my locker. So I turn around to see Derek, with his back pack over only one shoulder he pushes through the mass of students towards me. "Hey, hey. I swear geometry is going to be the death of me. I think by now if I'm not good at it I'm never going to be and just want to be done with it. I mean, s**t, I'm a junior in geometry for crying out loud!" I let out a disgruntled sigh as we walk towards the cafeteria. I've brought lunch from home. I don't know what they serve here yet, so if I don't like what I see I'll still have food. "Haha. I'll help you, but for now let's tackle lunch. I'm starved!"Grabbing my hand he drags me down down the hall the rest of the way. "I know, look at you... you're withering away. lol."Laughing at my own joke draws attention to us which makes me laugh even more. Once we've got there I'm glad to have brought food with me, it all looks toxic and utterly unhealthy. Derek leads me to a table full of people laughing and having a great time. "Hey Derek, who's this?" A guy that is seated across from Derek asks... all eyes of everyone there is turned towards us with undivided attention. "Guys this is Levi. Levi this is Matt, Andrew, Guy, and Donny. Then we have Clear, my girlfriend, Tracie, Janet, Heather, Gloria and Candice." Derek introduces everyone. "Nice to meet you all and forgive me I'm bad with names so it might take me a while to memorize everyone's name's." I repeat the names for each in my head. "Yah, so what grade are you in Levi? 9th? 10th?"Matt says with a smirk lazily placed across his face. "Actually, I'm a junior." replying to his question, i have a smirk of my own on my face. This guy i can tell is going to be a real pain in my ass. I laugh in my mind at the thought. "Really now?"Guy adds insult to injury. Do i really look that... naive, i guess is the word for it. "Damn straight!"I settle down in my seat, taking out my packed lunch and my bottled water.
