Finally school

Avery had finally come out of her coma and was relished from hospital a week ago. She was so glad soon it would be Christmas but she ad no idea what had gone down while she was in a coma she hadn’t even been told that Rylan was the one who had put her there or that he’d been fighting for his life after Matt and his friends had kicked the living shot out of him. She had missed her birthday whilst she had been in a coma so Matt and his friends were putting on a surprise party for her this Saturday and all of her friends were invited minus one he was not welcome though it was very doubtful he would be out of hospital any day soon.
Avery had finished getting ready for school Matt and Noah were waiting for her she walked down the stairs and they smiled.
‘You ready to go princess?’
‘I am.’
He held his arm out and she slipped her arm through. ‘Don’t ever tel lame I’m not a gentle man.’ He smield winking at Avery.
She smiled laughing
‘Come on let’s go your friends will be waiting.’
They all walked out the house greeted by ash and the others.
‘How you holding up Avery?’
‘Good.’
‘You liking forward to your first day back?’
‘I guess I can’t wait to see the guys and Rylan.’
They all looked at one another.’
‘What’s wrong guys?!
‘Nothing. Come on let’s go.’
They all walked down the road. They hadn’t told Avery all the details of what happened that night she only knew slight detail such as her drinks had been spiked and she’d had a bad reaction to he drugs that were in it. The police had talked to her and she was told she had to do an interview down the local police station to go into more detail which was this afternoon after school which she was not looking forward to.
Her friends looked up and smiled. She returned their smiled unlinking her arm with Noah. ‘It’s okay princess go.’
She kissed Noah and her brother in the cheek they’d come close over the last week and she was becoming more comfortable around him as he had stopped acting like an a*s with his rude gestures there was something definitely wrong with him.
The friends hugged. ‘So how are you Avery?’
‘Good real good.’
‘We’re sorry about what happened at the party.’
‘It’s okay. I can’t remember what happened anyway.’
‘Rylan got you a drink the next thing you were both gone. We heard arguing from upstairs and someone shouted that the party had ended and we all had to go home.’
‘Where’s Ry?’
‘Has no one told you?’
‘Told me what?’
‘He’s in hospital Avery he’s in a coma.’
‘What happened ?’
‘He got the s**t lamped out of him.. He must’ve really pissed someone off. He was barely conscious when he was found, they called for an ambulance he was unconscious when it arrived.‘
‘Oh my god.’
‘I know Yeh. No one knows if he’s still in a coma or if he’s awake no one is allowed to see him.’
The bell rang and they went into registration and their lessons it seemed so weird with out Rylan there they could almost hear a pin drop.
After school Avery walked up to Matt and Noah her face done she looked unhappy. ‘What’s wrong sis?’
‘Nothing.’
‘You look sad.’
‘It’s nothing really.’
‘You can tell us Avery.’
‘Rylan is in intensive care he’s in a coma.’
‘We’re sorry Avery.’
‘Are you? You never liked him.’
‘We’re not the only ones Avery, perhaps he got on the wrong side of someone.’
‘Other than you?’
‘Yes. Come on we have to be down the policed station in ten.’
‘Okay.’
The friends looked at one another hoping she brought their lie they all got into her car going to the police station where she was questioned for over and hour. She told them she had no idea who spiked her drink she just thought she e]was drunk and she felt off. She couldn’t remember much else apart from that she had to tell them who she went to the party with and who she was in the room with. Liam has already gave them a list of who was attending his birthday plus the one who snuck in unnoticed. Her head was hurting by the end of the interview and she blatantly refused to be checked to see if there had been any s****l activities or s*x. They nodded and said if she ever changed her mind to come back btu she had told them she wouldn’t and they all left the police station. ‘You should’ve had it done sis.’
‘Why Matt?’
‘To know for sure if you were r***d or not.’
‘I can’t. I just can’t. I feel disgusted with myself just thinking about it.’
He placed his arm around her.’ I understood but if you ever stop feeling that way you always can come back.’
She nodded and they walked over to the car getting in. Matt started the engine and pulled away.
