  Matt didn’t return till one in the morning Avery was sleeping. Noah was still laying on her bed besides her half asleep. He just couldn’t tear himself away she looked so peaceful, he really admired this girl he’d been infatuated for her over a year now. Though they had known each other practically almost all of their lives she’d began to grow into a woman these last two years, he’d screwed around all of his teenage years with girls and his biggest mistake was Stacy f*****g Gardner she was so f*****g plastic and thought she was gods gift to men how wrong she f*****g was. He’d regretted the day he’d finally given into that w***e. He’d liked her for two years and he’d finally got his chance only to find she was the biggest b***h going. She’d open her legs to anyone that had a d**k. But he knew that cause he was no different than her he’d find any excuse for having s*x with practically anyone that would have him. But with Avery it was different she was a challenge he needed he knew she was pure and hated him for just him being him and she was dubious that he would be the same with her if and when the opportunity arose. But she was different he was hoping in time she would see him than more than just a play boy, a bad boy but someone that could genuinely commit. 

The door creaked and he looked sleepily at Matt. ‘You should go home.’

‘I don’t want to disturb her.’

‘Is she okay?’

‘I’m not sure and I have no idea what is going on with you, but I want to help you.’

‘You can’t no one can.’

‘So where did you go?’

He stared blank at Noah he knew that lol only to well. ‘Please don’t tell me you went down the fight club Matt.’

‘What’s it to you?’

‘Please Matt you have to think about Avery instead of yourself for once. Last time you went there you almost ended up in a coma.’

‘Well as you can see I’m fine, so mind your own f*****g business and stay out of mine.’

‘It is my business Matt. Avery is all you have with your parents lord knows where. You’re both here cause they came to arrangement with the lease company if they hadn’t god knows where you both would’ve been. Have you ever thought about that? You may not be with each other now if they hadn’t agreed just think about it.’

‘I’ll never loose my sister never.’

‘But you could’ve, so think first that’s all I’m saying.’

‘I’m going to bed fell free to stay or leave it’s up to you. I’m going to bed.’

‘Sure.’

Matt closed the door and Noah looked down on Avery. Matt should really take a good hard look at himself or he’d loose his sister for good they’d all protected her, but with them leaving next year it would be hard for any of them to protect them from where they was. He moved her hair off her face and kissed her brow. ‘Goodnight princess he said laying back closing his eyes.

  Matt slid on to his bed, his knuckles b****y. He’d cleaned most of it off, but it was still visible the skin on his knuckles peeling. He’d gone down to the fight club to ease his frustration he hasn’t been there in over a year he was so worked up he walked into the fight club which held a cage where two men were brutally attacking a one another to the death. His intentions tonight were to not leave his opponent standing but a b****y mess. He was greeted with the owner of the fight club who was happy to see him back. Most of the fights consisted of mixed martial arts. He was next to be called in he had to let his frustrations out he had to get the feeling of guilt out of his system he’d failed Avery in the most possible way. The fight was brutal and b****y, he took one last punch to his opponent he stumbled and he kicked him in the gut and face, he dropped in the cage unconscious. ‘I’m proud of you Matt you’ve got your touch back.’ The. Manager congratulated him after he a]was announced the winner getting out of the cage his knuckles b****y his mouth bleeding.

Then he saw her. She came up to him to congratulate him and his anger brewed and he flipped slamming her up the wall his hand wrapped around her neck she looked scared. ‘How dare you lie to me!”

‘I didn’t honest.’

‘You’re a f*****g liar Gardner your a f*****g manipulating w***e. All you want is a guy inside you so you can brag how many d***s you’ve had.’

‘But baby.’

‘Don’t baby me you disgust me.’

‘Baby.’

‘Stay the f**k away from me and stay the f**k away from my sister or I’ll slit your f*****g throat. Are we understood?’ He glared angrily at her.’

‘Are we understood?’

‘Ye- yeah.’

 He loosed her walking away she looked as if she were going to piss her pants. But he didn’t care he had to make it clear not to mess with him or Avery. 

    Avery slipped off her bed not to wake Noah she had no idea he’d stoped with her all night she thought he may have gone home once she had fallen asleep, but he’d stayed. She walked into the kitchen Matt was up when had he returned home? He looked at her. ‘Avery I’m sorry about yesterday and what you saw. She told me you two had sorted out your differences and were friends.’

‘It’s fine Matt she’s a manipulative bitch.’

‘I couldn’t agree more.’

‘What the f**k happeend to your knuckles they’re bleeding?’

He looked at his hand he hadn’t noticed, he’d been in that many fights he had no feeling in his knuckles. ‘It nothing.’

‘It’s nothing. Matt your bleeding.’

‘I said it’s nothing.’

‘Yes it is let me clean it up.’

‘There’s no need.’

‘Yes there is it will get infected.‘ 

  She got the first aid kit out placing it on the work surface putting the cold tap on taking his hand putting it under the running water. He watched as she cleaned his knuckles drying them, turning the tap off she plaster it with antiseptic cream washing it off her hands all the time he’d been watching her the whole time she had always been the one to take care to him after every fight, but this felt different he couldn’t have those sort of feelings for his sister it was wrong,

‘Hey guys.’ Noah said cheerfully bouncing down the stairs shaking him out of his thoughts. ‘Noah you stayed.’

‘I did I couldn’t wake up my princess.’ He smiled going over to her wrapping his arms around her kissing her cheek. ‘I hoped you didn’t mind me staying last night and sharing your bed.’ He said winking.

‘No I didn’t realise you were still there.’ She loked at Noah. ‘Thanks for last night.’

‘Any time princess.’

‘I’m still here.’

Noah looked at Matt taking his arms from around Avery. ‘So are we in a better mood this morning?’

‘If you are referring to better than last night yes.’

‘Good we don’t want you in a grump all day.’
