Dave had already given Paul permission to return to the other branch, meaning he’d have to step up and be at the office every day, handling responsibilities on his own. While sipping a cup of tea, his computer dinged, notifying him of new emails. He opened his inbox to find a message from one of the company’s biggest clients, requesting a meeting to discuss a critical project.
Normally, this would have excited him,another opportunity to push the company forward, but all he felt was exhaustion. He glanced through the list of requirements the clients had sent. They were specific, demanding a level of organization that he wasn’t sure he could muster at the moment. With a heavy sigh, he shut off his computer and headed to the kitchen.
